SAFETY

player. 47. One would think Revis is top priority, but in truth losing Devin McCourty at safety would hurt the Patriots secondary worse.  He is the lynchpin to everything.  Bill Belichick must make sure he doesn’t get away.. FS. New England. Devin McCourty. 44

48. Another splash signing by Lovie Smith and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  This time they get another quality sleeper in Tashaun Gipson who is a standout ball hawk in coverage, something Smith’s defense calls for but doesn’t have.. FS. Cleveland. Tashaun Gipson. 45. player

Suspension stuff aside, Will Hill was a great addition to the defense for the Baltimore Ravens, especially in coverage.  His restricted status should make it easier for Ozzie Newsome to get him back for next season, likely on a team-friendly deal.. FS. Baltimore. Will Hill. 46. player. 26

Rahim Moore. 47. player. 57. Safety has given the Chicago Bears nightmares for a decade.  They need somebody even half reliable in coverage for playing Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford.  John Fox could collect that solution in Rahim Moore, who finished with four interception in 2014.. FS. Denver

New York. Antrel Rolle. 49. player. 31. A model of consistency for years, Antrel Rolle is 32-years old so he’s not entirely over the hill.  There is reason to believe he will remain an effective safety for the forseeable future.  That is why the New York Giants will want him back.. FS

87. By no means is this a move intended to be blockbuster.  The Carolina Panthers aren’t desperate for safety help, but they could use more competition.  Louis Delmas will come cheap due to the injury history, but plays well when healthy and is a terrific secondary leader.. FS. Miami. Louis Delmas. 50. player

Another name the Titans poach from the Texans secondary.  Kendrick Lewis was productive in a quiet capacity for Houston, collecting 84 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and two interception while grading out well against the run.. SS. Houston. Kendrick Lewis. 51. player. 35
