DEFENSIVE ENDS

player. 31. It’s already beginning to filter out that the New York Giants have no intention of letting Jason Pierre-Paul walk, which certainly brings the franchise tag into play.  Don’t expect their only legit pass rusher to hit the market.. DE. New York. Jason Pierre-Paul. 1

2. player. 48. This is going to be one of the surprises of the off-season.  Instead of returning to Carolina, Greg Hardy will be lured away thanks to a big offer from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who run a defense he fits and have much more money to spend than their division rival.. DE. Carolina. Greg Hardy

player. 16. After back-to-back seasons with 10 sacks, Jerry Hughes is certain to gain interest from the NFL but even as the Buffalo Bills prepare to switch to a 3-4 under Rex Ryan, the head coach insists he wants the pass rusher back.. DE. Buffalo. Jerry Hughes. 3

44. Though they are fully expected to address the pass rush in the draft, bringing back Osi Umenyiora on a short-term deal would be wise for the Atlanta Falcons.  He still has value as a situational rusher.. DE. Atlanta. Osi Umenyiora. 4. player

player. 123. The same goes for the Dallas Cowboys and George Selvie.  However their need for him centers around run defense, which he proved quite able at in 2014.  He should come at a cheap price anyway.. DE. Dallas. George Selvie. 5

Anthony Spencer. 6. player. 15. He really hasn’t been the same since he was forced to shift to defensive end in 2013.  Anthony Spencer is much better as an outside linebacker in a two-point stance.  That is why he’ll likely sign with a 3-4 team with the cash-strapped New Orleans Saints making perfect sense.. DE. Dallas
