Cleveland Browns

Best Pick – Joe Thomas, OT, 3rd Overall in 2007

Joe Thomas was a slam dunk pick for the Browns. He has been an elite left tackle in this league since day one, manning the blind side for a myriad of Cleveland quarterbacks. He’s an 8 time Pro Bowler and a 7 time All-Pro.

Easy choice for the best Browns pick.

Other selections considered:

Alex Mack, C, 21st Overall in 2009

Joe Haden, CB, 7th Overall in 2010

Joel Bitonio, OG, 35th Overall in 2014

Worst Pick – Brandon Weeden, QB, 22nd Overall in 2012

This was much harder than the best pick, as the Browns have a lot of early round whiffs. Drafting Brandon Weeden has to be the worst. What in the world were they thinking? Taking a 27 year old quarterback in the first round was simply irresponsible. Weeden struggled in his first two seasons with the Browns and was cut…because he was already 30 years old.

This is a blunder that will haunt Browns fans for years to come.

Other selections considered:

Brady Quinn, QB, 22nd Overall in 2007

Phil Taylor, DT, 21st Overall in 2011

Johnny Manziel, QB, 22nd Overall in 2014
