Best Pick – Haloti Ngata, DT, 12th Overall in 2006
It truly is a testament to Ozzie Newsome that it was a struggle to decide on which player was their “best pick”. Newsome has shown the ability to find impact players in almost every round of the draft, and rarely misses on high draft picks.
Haloti Ngata might just be the best of the bunch. He’s been a stalwart in the middle of a Baltimore defense that is annually among the league’s best. Not only is he a force against the run, but he’s shown the ability to get a some solid sack numbers for a man of his stature.

Mark Clayton never really got it going in his NFL career. He struggled with injuries early in his career and by the time he had gotten completely healthy, he was a forgotten man in Baltimore. He never topped 1,000 yards in his career, and only totaled 3,116 yards in 5 seasons with Baltimore.
