Best Pick – Khalil Mack, OLB, 5th Overall in 2014
It’s never good when your best draft pick, in the past decade, is a rookie on your team. That’s where the Raiders have found themselves. First round bust after first round bust have left this team borderline unwatchable over the past decade.
If there was ever a glimmer of hope it rests on the back of Khalil Mack, the rookie linebacker from Buffalo who played on an All-Pro level this past season. He isn’t enough, the Raiders need to do well in the next few drafts if they’re going to dig themselves out of the massive holes they keep putting themselves in.
Other selections considered:
Stefen Wisniewski, C, 48th Overall in 2011
Worst Pick – JaMarcus Russell, QB, 1st Overall in 2007
Arguably the biggest draft bust ever, there are no real words to describe how horrible the lethargic, overweight quarterback was.
I’ll leave it up to Stephen A. Smith to do the speaking for me.
Other selections considered:
Robert Gallery, OL, 2nd Overall in 2004
Fabian Washington, CB, 23rd Overall in 2005
Darren McFadden, RB, 4th Overall in 2008
Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, 7th Overall in 2009
D.J. Hayden, CB, 12th Overall in 2012
