New York Giants

Best Pick – Eli Manning, QB, 1st Overall in 2004 (f/SD)

This may not be a popular pick, but Eli Manning has been the most successful Giants draft pick in the past decade. He has been the face of the franchise since the Giants and Chargers completed their blockbuster draft day trade in 2004.

Eli Manning hasn’t been the most consistent quarterback over his tenure in New York, but he has delivered the city two Super Bowl rings over Tom Brady, arguably the greatest quarterback ever. Manning has certainly had his ups and downs during the regular season, but it’s hard to argue against his postseason success.

Other selections considered:

Chris Snee, OG, 34th Overall in 2004

Justin Tuck, DE, 74th Overall in 2005

Will Beatty, OT, 60th Overall in 2009

Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, 15th Overall in 2010

Jonathan Hankins, DT, 49th Overall in 2013

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, 12th Overall in 2014

Worst Pick – Aaron Ross, CB, 20th Overall in 2007

Aaron Ross was never able to live to his draft status as a first round pick for the Giants. He was never anything more than a below average-average starter as a corner for the Giants. After 5 mediocre seasons in New York he’s bounced around the league including a second stint with the Giants.

He currently plays for the Ravens.

Other selections considered:

Clint Sintim, LB, 45th Overall in 2009

Marvin Austin, DT, 52nd Overall in 2010
