Chip Kelly got the best season out of Jeremy Maclin in his young career, coming off a knee injury no less.  Maclin won’t want to part from that, especially with Nick Foles set to return healthy.  Besides, the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t loaded at receiver so keeping Maclin is necessary.. The ever likelier departure of Ndamukong Suh threatens to leave a big void in the center of the Detroit Lions defensive front.  That makes the retention of Nick Fairley critical.  While not at Suh’s level, he’s still an excellent interior pass rusher in his own right and can help keep Detroit respectable once healthy..
