Round 5

Tony Washington. 5. player. 54. It was only a matter of time before Chip Kelly selected an Oregon player. Last year’s first round pick Marcus Smith was possibly the worst pick in the entire draft. Washington can come in and do what Philly expected of Smith. He is a versatile pass rusher who can occasionally drop back in coveage. At 6’3″, 250, Washington provides the size Chip Kelly likes in his pass rushers. With his build, he’s able to potentially contribute immediately.. OLB. Oregon

Round 6

54. Swann is a corner who’s not afraid to get involved in stopping the run. He’s a willing tackler can force turnovers and provide his defense big plays. Swann intercepted four passes and forced three fumbles to go along with his 62 tackles last year. The Georgia CB is a nice value pick in Round Six who could be in the rotation at some point for the Eagles.. CB. Georgia. Damian Swann. 6. player

Round 7

7. player. 54. With McCoy’s future in question and Darren Sproles getting up there in age, the Eagles need to address the RB situation at some point. John Crockett is a patient runner who hits the whole with a burst. Unlike Shady Mccoy, Crockett attacks up field and has great explosion when hitting the hole. He has late round steal written all over him!. RB. North Dakota State. John Crockett

Review: The Eagles really need to focus on defense and it showed in this mock draft. Five of their eight total draft picks were used towards defense (2 CB’s, 1 MLB, 1, OLB, 1 Safety). If Kelly wants his unit to improve across the board, building the defense is a must.
