SIXTH ROUND

Jeff Luc. 6. player. 55. I’ll have to admit that the tape I’ve seen on Luc is extremely limited, but his impressive strength and leadership combined with what I’ve heard from the folks that were down in Mobile lead me to believe that he’ll be drafted higher than most believe. Luc possesses yet another run-stuffing presence that is much-needed in Pittsburgh. The middle of the defense has pieces on the surface, but the lack of depth is concerning. Adding another weapon that could have incredible upside would be wise.. LB. Cincinnati

Other options at LB in Round Six

A.J Johnson — Tennessee

SEVENTH ROUND

player. 55. Converting from the QB spot, Marshall is working on using his athleticism to play on the back end of an NFL defense. The move is a risky one, but the former Tiger didn’t have much of a choice. Doubling up at the CB spot would be wise for Pittsburgh, so why not give Marshall the shot he’s looking for? In the 7th, it’d be hard to pass on this potential steal.. CB. Auburn. Nick Marshall. 7

Other options at CB in Round Seven

Bobby McCain — Memphis

OTHER STORYLINES TO NOTE

  • There’s a need at safety, but free agency probably provides a better option than this class.
  • Having a third back to help Le’Veon Bell and Dri Archer would be nice. Pittsburgh could easily take a look at one in the later rounds.
  • Is Landry Jones the future behind Ben Roethlisberger? If not, look for the Steelers to take a shot at a UDFA.
