2015 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers Trade Lands Big Help
By Erik Lambert
#17 – San Diego Chargers – Cedric Ogbuehi – OT – Texas A&M
Pass protection came back to haunt the San Diego Chargers at the worst time this season. Philip Rivers needs better blocking if he’s going to keep playing at a high level. Cedric Ogbuehi is raw, but his potential is off the charts.
#18 – Pittsburgh Steelers (f/KC) – Jalen Collins – CB – LSU
Trade: #22 pick and 3rd in ’15 for Chiefs #18 pick
Corners are a big must for the Pittsburgh Steelers and they are fortunate a good one remains on the board. Jalen Collins has that needed size for their 3-4 system along with the speed and toughness to handle press coverage.
#19 – Cleveland Browns (f/BUF) – Benardrick McKinney – ILB – Mississippi State
Adding more speed and athleticism to the middle of the defense would be a boon for the Cleveland Browns. Enter Benardrick McKinney who can fly all over the field, has good size and is good going forwards and backwards.
#20 – Philadelphia Eagles – Dante Fowler Jr. – OLB – Florida
Corner or safety would be helpful but another way to help that area is pass rush. Dante Fowler Jr. is a higher graded prospect and boasts the versatile skill set to fit their attacking scheme.
