2015 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers Trade Lands Big Help
By Erik Lambert
#13 – Houston Texans (f/NO) – Kevin White – WR – West Virginia
Trade: #16 pick, 4th and 5th in ’15 and 4th in ’16 for Saints #13 pick
Andre Johnson might be on his way out, so the Houston Texans must make preparations to replace him if possible. This savvy move up the board to grab playmaker Kevin White is exactly what they need.
#14 – Miami Dolphins – Shaq Thompson – OLB – Washington
Linebackers are at the top of the list of needs for the Miami Dolphins defense. Just their luck that one of the best options in the draft is still available. Shaq Thompson is a speedy, athletic missile to flies around the field making plays.
#15 – San Francisco 49ers – Eddie Goldman – DT – Florida State
Defensive line depth is becoming a real problem for the San Francisco 49ers. Their best player Justin Smith may retired and their nose tackle position is a mess. Eddie Goldman is a powerful interior presence who always seems to make big plays when needed.
#16 – New Orleans Saints (f/HOU) – Marcus Peters – CB – Washington
If Rob Ryan is there to stay, then the New Orleans Saints need to get serious about investing in his scheme. That means better corners. Marcus Peters is a personality, but he’s also the kind of instinctive athlete with good size they need.
