#9 – Cleveland Browns (f/NYG via NYJ) – Amari Cooper – WR – Alabama

Trade:  #13 pick, 3rd in ’15 and 4th in ’16 for Jets #9 pick

Sensing the moment, the Cleveland Browns wisely move up to get themselves some insurance for Josh Gordon.  Amari Cooper is a proven playmaker with a combination of speed and route running that makes him a threat every time he touches the ball.

#10 – St. Louis Rams – Trae Waynes – CB – Michigan State

Is corner their primary need?  Maybe not, but the St. Louis Rams can’t ignore how good Trae Waynes could be in their defense.  He’s got the size to match up with big receivers but the toughness, discipline and instinct to play the run.

#11 – Minnesota Vikings – Andrus Peat – OT – Stanford

Trading back is always in play but in this case the Minnesota Vikings can’t find a good enough deal.  So they play it safe by giving their quarterback a big, sturdy bookend tackle in Andrus Peat who will also open up the run.

#12 – New York Jets (f/CLE) – La’El Collins – OT – LSU

Picks can’t be sexy all the time.  Sometimes it has to be rugged.  La’El Collins isn’t ideal to look at, but he’s as dependable a blocker as there is in the draft.  That is what the New York Jets need for their offense.
