13. Lucky for the Chargers, the Texas A&M football program has been a factory for sending offensive tackles in the NFL the last few years, because the Chargers need the help. They were absolutely horrible on the offensive line this past year, so getting a high upside player like Ogbuehi with this pick would be huge for them.. OT. Texas A&M. Cedric Ogbuehi. 17. player

124. The entire 2014 college football season, Kevin White was one of my favorite players. He showed flashes of Larry Fitzgerald and Julio Jones, at times looking like an unstoppable force. The Chiefs went the entire season without a wide receiver scoring a touchdown. Get used to hearing that, and get used to seeing a wideout penciled in for the Chiefs’ top pick.. WR. West Virginia. Kevin White. 18. player

Arizona State. Jaelen Strong. 19. player. 53. The pick acquired from the Buffalo Bills didn’t end up being as high as the Browns might have liked, but in another draft stocked with wide receiver talent, they can’t really afford to miss out again. The offensive linemen have been picked over, and Strong is a really good option at this point. He reminds me at times of Keenan Allen, currently with the Chargers.. WR

54. Last year we saw quarterbacks drop like flies after Blake Bortles, and perhaps wrongfully so. Jameis Winston looked like the next Andrew Luck after his freshman year at FSU, but was horrible at times in 2014. Clearly he needs some grooming, and the Eagles can afford him that time. Pairing Winston with Chip Kelly is a really interesting prospect.. QB. Florida State. Jameis Winston. 20. player

TJ Clemmings. 21. player. 87. With the way Cam Newton was protected in 2014, it’s going to be near impossible for the Panthers to pass on an offensive tackle with their top pick. Clemmings is raw, but talented and he can develop into a starting left tackle.. OT. Pittsburgh

Washington. Marcus Peters. 22. player. 26. Injuries aside, the cornerback position was one where the Ravens really graded poorly this past season and could stand to upgrade in the draft. Peters is a nice value here, and this would fit the profile as an Ozzie Newsome pick. Rich get richer.. CB

56. The Bengals’ pass rush was terrible in 2014, and the fact that they made the playoffs with just 20 sacks is pretty remarkable and a testament to the playmaking ability of the rest of the team. Dupree has as much upside as anyone they could pick at this point, regardless of position.. DE. Kentucky. Alvin Dupree. 23. player

Holliman might not be the four-year starter the Steelers prefer, but he’s talented and can create turnovers, something their defense desperately needs.. S. Louisville. Gerod Holliman. 24. player. 55

DT. Florida State. Eddie Goldman. 25. player. 50. Losing Ndamukong Suh could hurt the Lions pretty bad, especially with how well the defense has played around him this season. Getting a big man like Goldman late in the first round here is good value and it fills a potentially huge hole for Detroit, though obviously he won’t be that same kind of player.

Benardrick McKinney. 26. player. 46. The Colts’ defense wasn’t good up the middle this past season, every one of their top four linebackers grading in the negative by Pro Football Focus. Upgrades are needed, and McKinney is absolutely that. He’s a huge linebacker with range that would be penciled in as an immediate starter.. LB. Mississippi State

32. Andre Ellington is a fantastic player, but Melvin Gordon is a potential superstar running back and the Cardinals can afford to take him at this point. They need Carson Palmer healthy, but even with their QB issues, this team has contended for the NFC West two years in a row. Gordon is explosive, a big time back with a big time work ethic. He’d be a huge pickup for Arizona.. RB. Wisconsin. Melvin Gordon. 27. player

DE. Michigan State. Shillique Calhoun. 28. player. 123. The Cowboys overachieved this year defensively but their coaching is not a joke. Rod Marinelli knows what he’s doing with the defense and adding a talented player like Calhoun to go with the developing Demarcus Lawrence would give the Cowboys some ammo on the defensive front and pass rush.

49. The Packers take the massive Brown here to help shore up their run defense, their worst graded area in 2014. Aaron Rodgers and company don’t need much offensively, but Brown can provide some run stuffing capabilities and help get this team off the field and the ball back in no. 12’s hands.. DT. Texas. Malcom Brown. 29. player

OL. Florida State. Cameron Erving. 30. player. 45. Nothing is ever for certain, but if the Broncos don’t use their first round pick on an offensive lineman, I’ll be a bit surprised. Erving is a heck of an athlete who started out on defense, became an All-American left tackle, and is now emerging as one of the best centers in the draft. Wherever he can line up, the Broncos will use him.

31. player. 36. It almost pains me to even attach ‘WR’ to Devin Funchess’ name. He’s not a wide receiver. Eric Ebron wasn’t a wide receiver, so Funchess certainly isn’t, and there are numbers to back it up. Anyway, being used as a tight end in Seattle and occasionally or flexed out often as a receiver, Funchess can be a nightmare matchup when Russell Wilson gets outside the pocket. This would be a great pick.. TE/WR. Michigan. Devin Funchess

player. 47. The Patriots’ pass protection received horrid grades in 2014, and will need to be addressed. Sambrailo projects to guard or tackle and is a great value in the late first round.. OT. Colorado State. Ty Sambrailo. 32
