2015 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Get Trade Fury Started
By Erik Lambert
#21 – Atlanta Falcons – Alvin Dupree – DE – Kentucky
With or without Mike Smith as head coach, the Atlanta Falcons can’t put off finding a pass rusher for their defense anymore. Alvin Dupree has the size for the end position but also the speed and quickness to move around and create matchups.
#22 – Miami Dolphins – Shaq Thompson – LB – Washington
Defense is what drives the Miami Dolphins and keeping it strong is critical. Finding help at linebacker is a big need. Shaq Thompson may be undersized but he’s lightning fast, highly instinctive and can turn defense into instant offense.
#23 – San Diego Chargers – Ifo Ekpre-Olomu – CB – Oregon
The success they’ve had with Brandon Flowers and Jason Verrett should not scare the San Diego Chargers away from landing another short-but-talented corner. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu has all the traits of a long-term starter, if not the preferred height.
#24 – Cincinnati Bengals (f/IND) – Kevin Johnson – CB – Wake Forest
Trade: #27 and 4th in ’15 for Colts #24 pick
Another team that needs help in their secondary. The Cincinnati Bengals go corner again for the second-straight season, this time going for Kevin Johnson who has all the coverage skill in the world but needs more refinement in his run defense.
