2015 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Get Trade Fury Started
By Erik Lambert
#9 – Minnesota Vikings – Cedric Ogbuehi – OT – Texas A&M
Teddy Bridgewater is their future. Ensuring his health and success is how the Minnesota Vikings will compete in the NFC North. They need better pass protection, especially on the edges. He isn’t a technician just yet, but Cedric Ogbuehi has huge upside.
#10 – Houston Texans (f/CHI) – Jameis Winston – QB – Florida State
Trade: #13 pick and 3rd in ’15 for Bears #10 pick
This move may surprise a lot of people given the investment the Houston Texans made in Ryan Mallett, but Jameis Winston is the kind of gamble that can win championships and Bill O’Brien may be the coach who can set the immature FSU star on the right path.
#11 – New Orleans Saints – Marcus Peters – CB – Washington
Offense continues to win them games but the defense has regressed again for the New Orleans Saints in 2014. Part of the problem is continued issues in pass coverage. They need more good corners. Marcus Peters has the size, athleticism and instinct for their system.
#12 – Carolina Panthers (f/STL) – Dante Fowler Jr. – DE – Florida
Pass rush is the key to make the Carolina Panthers defense run. Greg Hardy may be gone and fans may not like it, but this team needs to continue loading up at defensive end. Dante Fowler Jr. is a versatile rusher with a high motor and ability.
