The picture is clearing on the potential pecking order.  It’s also clear via this 2015 NFL mock draft that th trades could come early and come often.

#1 – Oakland Raiders – Leonard Williams – DE – USC

Trading out is a possibility but with the Jaguars, another team that could trade out, behind them, the Oakland Raiders play the safe route and get themselves a dominant defensive presence.  Leonard Williams will man the line while Khalil Mack becomes his outside wing man to form a devastating one-two punch.

#2 – Jacksonville Jaguars – Randy Gregory – DE – Nebraska

Do they need a pass rusher?  Not entirely but Randy Gregory is the type of talent the Jacksonville Jaguars can’t pass up.  He is a potential cornerstone of their defense for years to come, bringing them an edge rusher with unique skills they can build around.

#3 – Tennessee Titans (f/TB) – Marcus Mariota – QB – Oregon

Trade:  #5 pick, 3rd in ’15 and 1st in ’16 for Bucs #3 pick

Somebody is going to get aggressive to land Marcus Mariota.  The Tennessee Titans prove to be that team here.  Zach Mettenberger isn’t looking like the answer and Ken Whisenhunt needs a quarterback for his system to work.  Mariota is everything he could want.

#4 – Atlanta Falcons (f/NYJ) – Shane Ray – DE – Missouri

Trade:  #6 pick and 2nd in ’15 for Jets #4 pick

The passive approach has not solved the pass rush problem for the Atlanta Falcons.  So the time has come for a more active one.  They jump up in a deal with the Jets to get one of the best in the 2015 class.  Shane Ray has a variety of move, can win with speed or power and is a great fit for their system.
