#7 – Ryan Tannehill – Miami Dolphins
People wondered if he was taking a step back in 2014 but Ryan Tannehill has since come into his own for the Miami Dolphins with some helpful tips from franchise legend Dan Marino. With help from a dominant defense, the third-year quarterback has won three straight and notched six touchdowns to one interception. Every statistical category is getting better each week.
#6 – Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints
Having grown accustomed to otherworldly stats, it’s fair that Drew Brees is not having a typical season for the New Orleans Saints at 4-4. Still, he’s adapting himself to a new offensive approach according to what works. That is what great quarterbacks do and Brees continues to prove he’s one. The numbers will come around sooner or later.
#5 – Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers
It almost seems from nowhere. Up until this season Ben Roethlisberger was viewed as a solid, often clutch quarterback who excelled at helping his team win close games while feeding off a strong defense. Suddenly, his Pittsburgh Steelers have required more and the big man has answered the bell. His back-to-back games with six touchdown passes is a testament to how good he really is and how far he’s come.
