West Virginia wide receiver Kevin White is simply incredible. In the Mountaineers’ upset win over the fourth-ranked Baylor Bears, the senior receiver was absolutely spectacular and continues his remarkable run. He eclipsed 100 yards for the seventh straight game, putting him over 1,000 already on the season, and had his first multi-touchdown performance on the biggest stage the Mountaineers have faced to this point, even having already played a handful of other top ranked reams.

This may be a bit too lofty, and I’m not sure he’ll be drafted as high (I’m not that bold yet) but White’s style of play very much reminds me of either Larry Fitzgerald or Julio Jones. Perhaps it’s the flowing dreadlocks, perhaps it’s that he wears number 11 or has a similar physical makeup. Whatever the case, that’s who I’m reminded of when I watch White play, and boy is it ever a treat.

His astronomic rise this season has been a ton of fun to watch, and talent evaluators are left drooling over this guy’s skills. He fights for balls in the air, runs precise routes, knows how to get himself open, and comes down with the tough catches. He’s proven more than just a reliable target for Clint Trickett — he’s proving to be what I believe the best receiver in America right now.

Yep, I said it. Sorry, and no disrespect meant, Amari Cooper.

White is showing not only great consistency but improvement over the course of the season. He instinctively works his way back to the quarterback when the play breaks down. He makes acrobatic, even one-handed catches. He is a threat in the red zone. He has speed, he has strength. He really is the complete package and at 6’3″ 210 pounds, it looks like it’s going to be a short wait for his name to be called on draft night in 2015.

This is a quick highlight of the game, so you only get to see a small sample of what White did, but it’s the only video I could come up with of today’s game to get you a visual of what this guy can do and what he’s capable of, how easy he is making it look.

Truly remarkable. If you don’t already love watching this guy play, you will when you see his catch in that highlight.
