2015 NFL Draft: Quarterback Rankings Update

We’re still far away, but with every day that goes by, we can technically say we are getting closer to the start of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The quarterback rankings of the class have gone up and down for a few weeks as the early part of the college football season has been extremely unpredictable. Here’s a look at where things stand as we approach the heart of the schedule.

5: Bryce Petty, Baylor

I still believe in Petty, while most have fallen off the bandwagon. He has everything it takes to be an NFL quarterback, he just has to work on a few very coachable traits. He should be just fine with a strong finish to the season.

4: Chuckie Keeton, Utah State

I know many don’t believe in Keeton, but I’m sticking by my guy here. His talents are unreal when he puts it all together. If he can stay healthy, he’s going to be a very interesting target on many NFL draft boards.

3: Jameis Winston, Florida State

I can’t trust this guy to be a leader of a franchise. He’s still on my board due to talent, but there’s real concern that NFL teams are going to take him off completely. Much like Johnny Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft, Winston is going to be one of the most confusing prospects to study as we get closer. He really could use one more year to prove he’s NFL ready OFF the field.

2: Brett Hundley, UCLA

I know he’s injury prone, but Hundley can be the best quarterback to come out of this class if he can stay healthy. Like most quarterbacks in this class, Hundley is a risk. However, he could be the one that has the highest ceiling.

1: Marcus Mariota, Oregon

There’s not really much that needs to be said here. Mariota is the clear favorite in most rankings – and deservedly so. He could be the best player in this entire draft class.
