Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers
A preview was already provided of the potential NFL mismatch the Seahawks enjoy over the Chargers, who are still stinging from their Monday Night defeat. They will be at home this time, but may not have the personnel to go man-to-man against the world champs.
Result: SEA 28, SD 10
St. Louis Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sam Bradford is out. Shaun Hill is out. Now Chris Long too. The Rams are just so banged up, they must feel so helpless. Jeff Fisher is a great coach, but it will take more time before he can rally the troops. Expect the Bucs to handle their business.
Result: STL 10, TB 20
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Their loss to the Titans at Arrowhead was very alarming. Kansas City looks somewhat toothless offensively, and to think they must go into Denver against a team they couldn’t beat last year that seems to have a better defense. Yikes.
Result: KC 14, DEN 34
New York Jets at Green Bay Packers
Even if he manages to play following his concussion, Eddie Lacy may find the going tough against a big and physical Jets defensive front. It won’t matter. Aaron Rodgers will take care of things, aided by some customary Geno Smith turnovers.
Result: NYJ 17, GB 38
