The Green Bay Packers selected wide receiver Davante Adams with the 53rd pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Scheme Fit
Aaron Rodgers decides the fate of the Green Bay Packers and that means keeping him armed. They just lost James Jones and ironically Davante Adams was most often compared to Jones coming out of Fresno State. While not the biggest or the fastest, he has a lot of both and a great set of hands to make the tough catches. Very experienced in a pass-heavy offense so Green Bay should not intimidate him.
My Reaction
I don’t know if wide receiver was the biggest need but the Green Bay Packers trust their process. Adams is a solid player who can thrive with an MVP like Rodgers throwing to him. It will be a challenge for him to see the field though. I think he has the talent to make it but that remains to be seen.
