On NFL Network, Ian Rapoport reported that two teams are trying to trade into the top five of the draft, specifically to pick three or four, and those teams are the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, who pick 9th and 10th respectively.

The targeted player?

Rumor has it both teams would like to get their hands on the top receiver in the draft according to most, Clemson’s Sammy Watkins.

The Lions have long been linked to Watkins and seem desperate to get into position in order to draft him. If he’s still on the board with that third overall pick, the Jaguars could be enticed to a nice trade down package from either one of these teams, but is paying a pretty steep price to do so if they had their eyes on one of Watkins, Khalil Mack, or Jadeveon Clowney.

If Mack is still on the board with the third overall pick, he could be the guy for Jacksonville and then these teams could try and swing a trade with the Cleveland Browns.

One thing is for certain — there is likely to be movement in the top 10 of this year’s draft. With such a deep group of players, teams picking in the top five specifically might be more inclined to load up on additional picks to stack the roster with young players from a very strong crop.
