With less than a week until the NFL Draft, you can expect the rumor mill to start heating up in the coming days.

That starts today.

Sometimes these things get talked about, but don’t ever materialize into anything. Still, it is interesting to talk about. Here are some major QBs that could get traded or swapped for picks so another team could move into the top of the draft to get the guy they want.

1. Nick Foles, Eagles

This would be a dumb move by Chip Kelly, but it’s possible he feels like Foles simply got hot at the right time in 2013 en route to a Pro Bowl season and isn’t a long-term fit for the job in Philly.

There have been rumors linking the Eagles to Johnny Manziel, so maybe they’d move Foles to a team like Jacksonville and swap picks in the first round, or something like that. There’s no telling what can happen with these wild trade rumors.

2. Sam Bradford, Rams

Bradford doesn’t have the most desirable contract, but he could certainly be a player the Rams would look to trade if they intend on using their 2nd overall pick on a quarterback.

The Rams are going to pick a QB in this draft, it’s just a matter of when.

If they want to take a guy like Manziel, they would have to take him with their top pick and could be looking to move Bradford.

3. Tony Romo, Cowboys

Romo’s contract is almost untradeable, but you’re going to hear his name connected to this rumor if it picks up steam. Dallas has reported interest in Johnny Manziel.

4. Patriots

The Patriots have worked out all the QBs in this draft. Maybe they are going to make a play to move up and get a guy to be Tom Brady’s successor.

5. Cardinals

The Cardinals aren’t set at the QB position long-term. They could look to trade up and make a splash for the QB of their choosing to take over for Carson Palmer in the near future.

6. Bengals

This would be a surprise team but the Bengals might feel like they have maxed out the potential of Andy Dalton already. If that’s the case, he has a very trade-friendly contract and could potentially help them move into position to get a top tier QB.
