Washington Redskins Offseason Needs, Team Headquarters Page
Jan 22, 2014; Ko
After trading an arm and a leg to get Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Redskins decided to let go of head coach Mike Shanahan and move on with former Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden.
The Redskins, as a result of the RG3 trade, don’t have a first round pick this year, so it was no surprise when they were one of the most active teams on the free agent market when the new league year opened, though they haven’t broken the bank for anyone yet.

Team Needs
1. Cornerback
DeAngelo Hall has been re-signed and Tracy Porter was brought in, but the Redskins are far from done re-loading at this position. With David Amerson coming up, they are still going to need to plan on adding another young CB or two and could do so via one of their top draft picks.
2. Defensive Line
Adding Jason Hatcher and Clifton Geathers helps, but the Redskins’ defensive front was crushed last season. They need to look to some day two and three upgrades.
3. Linebacker
Perry Riley was brought back, and Daryl Sharpton was added. I think the Redskins can get by there but we’ll see if they choose to add another player or two via the draft.
