Get used to seeing this name: Cordarrelle Patterson during the 2012 College Football Season. The JUCO transfer to Tennessee has started his career with the Vols with a huge bang., absolutely dominating the first half in their game with the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Patterson started the scoring action with a 41 yard touchdown reception, but later added a 67 yard touchdown run later in the first quarter. The Vols entered the summer with a lot of promise on offense with the talented Tyler Bray at quarterback and the physical specimens Da’Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter at wide receiver, but Rogers was released from the team because he failed drug tests. The Vols knew that Cordarrelle Patterson the JUCO Transfer from Hutchinson Communicty College was every bit as good as the five star ranking that preceded him–he was also the top JUCO transfer in the country.

It’s early in the season, but so far Patterson looks very impressive. He’s catches the ball cleanly and is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has plus speed and good size, he’s listed at 6’2 and 205 pounds on the Tennessee Vols official site.

Patterson has a long ways to go before he should be considered a potential first round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but he’s off to a terrific start and he may have already arrived.
