The Redskins had some good moves in free agency and a lot of big moves. The signing of Pierre Garcon was costly, but gives the Redskins a big play threat down the field. The recent signing of Jonathan Goff is a terrific move. Even as a Giants fan I always felt that Jonathan Goff might have been miscast in a 43 and I believe he’ll excel in a 34 as an interior ILB and ironically the former Giants linebacker might be the answer to finding the future replacement for London Fletcher. I also think the signing of Tanard Jackson can pay off–he can be a good player.

Positions of strength:
Wide Receiver-the depth at wide receiver for the Redskins is now terrific. Do they have an elite number one WR? No, they probably don’t. But they have enough at WR to give Robert Griffin III a terrific chance to put up big numbers when he’s ready to do so.
Linebacker: The Redskins might have the best four linebackers in the game if Kerrigan takes another step forward. Orakpo, Kerrigan, Flethcer, and Jon Goff (if healthy) is really a good linebacker group.
Positions of need:
Offensive line-the fact that the Redskins drafted three offensive linemen should be a good indication that they are worried about the talent and depth at that position. Some players need to step up and excel this year.
Secondary-there are questions marks , but is throughout their entire secondary. DeAngelo Hall is a good player but is vastly over-rated and the rest of the guys have to prove that they are good players and not “just guys.” The safety has some guys trying to re-establish their careers, but there are questions about each of them. Merriweather? Jackson? If these guys were so good (they have talent) why aren’t they with their respective teams as well.
Thoughts-Redskins fans?
The future is exciting with RGIII at the helm, but I think there is still a lot of room for imporvement throughout the roster and with all the free agent additions this year will probably be a year with a lot of adjustments and maybe not quite as much winning as the Redskins would hope.
