Consensus Draft Grades: Kiper Jr, Sporting News, CBS And More
Everyone can have a different opinion about how a team did in the draft, which is reflected in their individual grades. The grades are based a large part on the bias people have for certain players and draft philosophies. I’ve decided to settle once and for all who had the best draft in the 2012 NFL Draft. I tracked down draft grades from Mel Kiper Jr., Sporting News, CBS’ Pete Prisco, Sports Illustrated, Matt Miller of New Era Scouting and Bleacher Report, the Kansas City Star, and Evan Silva of Rotoworld and Profootballtalk.com.
All draft grades are done with letter grades so in order to convert the grades I used a simple system. an A+ was 10, an A was 9, A- was 8, B+ was 7 and so forth. I then averaged the scores together to get a final grade.

An interesting note the Bengals recieved 4 A+, and they also did not draft any player that was not from a major BCS conference, except for Boise State S George Iloka. Boise State of course is a very well known school to boot. Coincidence?
