New York Gians Continue to add Offense With Adrien Robinson and Brandon Mosley

The New York Giants had one of the league’s best offenses last year and an inconsistent defense. So what do the Giants do? They re-stocked their offense. The Giants have been stockpiling offensive players throughout the draft. It started in the first round with the pick of RB David Wilson. WR Rueben Randle followed. The Giants forgot they were planning an all-offense draft briefly in the third round when they selected Virginia Tech cornerback Jayron Hosley. But the Giants got back to business in the fourth round adding tantalizing tight end Adrien Robinson out of Cincinnati in the fourth round. Robinson is extremely gifted player, as recapped by downthedrive.com

It is a bit of an understatement to say that Adrien Robinson had a good pro day back on the first of March. You know what, it was better than good. He weighed in at a solid 6’4″ 264 ran a 4.54 forty, showed off a 40 inch vert and made clear that all the rumors of his freakish athletic ability that have trickled out of the Weight Room are true.

The Giants, without a fifth round pick because of the Keith Riverse trade, couldn’t wait any longer to hope that Robinson might be available later and selected him with their first pick in the 4th round.

They followed that up by taking an athletic offensive linemen in Brandon Mosley. Mosley has good size and can really move. He needs to get stronger and really has to improve his technique. Another high-upside pick.

Both picks are interesting picks. Neither player will be expected to start in 2012 so consider them developmental prospects.
