With the 20th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans have selected Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
Here is our report on Wright:
Pros:
Very quick
Fluid in Route Running
Extremely fast
Proficient in all routes short and quick
Willing to go over middle
Very effective in both reverses as well as trick throws
Racks up the yards after the catch
4 Year Starter
Played elite competition
Has been very durable
Plays fast and makes a lot of big plays down the field
Cons:
Small Size with small hands
Though extremely fast he does not have a great Yard Per Reception Average
Does not get as many yards after catch as you would expect
Is more of a Robin than Batman in the Pros
Not as fast as people thougt
Player Comparison: (A shorter, slightly slower) Mike Wallace
Round Projection: Late first Early to Mid 2nd Round.
Summary:
Watching Wright play is a pleasure. He does everything well. He run precise routes and knows how to use his speed while running them. His hands are always at the ready position. He is tough over the middle. Though he doesn’t get many long plays I think it’s the system and not his lack of speed because he is a burner. Being able to be effective in short passes will allow him to become a complete WR. I think he is one of the under rated WR’s in this draft. Playing with Robert Griffin helps but this kid is the real deal. Teams that have a strong #1 and are looking to pair him with them should take him in Round 2. Teams such as Dolphins, Bills, Chargers, Buccs, Saints, and Texans.

Live Pick Grade: A
I like this fit. The Titans had an underrated need at receiver for their young QB in Jake Locker with the uncertainty surrounding Kenny Britt due to his injury. Wright is an explosive playmaker who is going to be big time for the Titans.
