Gregg Williams Audio

facebooktwitterreddit

Things keep getting worse for Greg Williams. Yesterday, Sean Pamphilon who was doing a documentary on a Saints player who has Louis Gherig’s disease released an profanity laced audio of Greg Williams that was taken prior to the Saints and 49ers playoff games in which he tells teams to target Frank Gore in the head, and to give Michael Crabtree an A.C.L. tear.  I think players will defense this as the nature of the beast, but it’s the public perception that will be the problem. Roger Goodell has a lawyer mentality and will want to lay-down a severe punishment to try to limit similar behavior moving forward.

This is also not good news for Sean Payton and Loomis as they are appealing their suspensions. With the audio being released, and the story once against staying in the news they have an uphill battle to get their suspensions reduced.

Here’s just a snippet of what’s been passed on.

“At one point Williams says, ‘We hit [expletive] Smith right there’ – then he points under his chin [and continues] – ‘remember me.’ Then he rubs his thumb against his index and middle fingers – the cash sign – and says, ‘I got the first one. I got the first one. Go get it. Go lay that [expletive] out,’”

“We need to find out in the first two series of the game, the little wide receiver, No. 10, about his concussion,” Gregg Williams told his players about Kyle Williams. “We need to [expletive] put a lick on him, move him to decide. He needs to decide.”
