Oakland Raiders: Sad State of a Franchise Madden 13 Cover Vote

facebooktwitterreddit

How do you know a team is in a terrible period in their franchise? When EA Sports gives you two options to choose from for your team and the options are the Kicker and the Punter. Such is the case for the Oakland Raiders who are represented by Sebastian Janikowski and Shane Lechler in the new Madden 13 cover vote. They  are the only team in the competition that has a special teams players, let alone two. The Colts who just came off one of the worse season in the history of the N.F.L. are at least represented by two perennial Pro-bowl type players: Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

This year EAsports has decided to let fans choose the two players that will represent their teams before the 32 player bracket that decides the eventual cover of Madden 2013.

And when that happens I’m for sure voting against Victor Cruz (or Jason Pierre Paul, but my money is on Victor Cruz winning-and he’s so loved and popular right now he might win the entire thing).  Whether or not the Madden Curse is real or not is debatable, but whether or not I want to find out with a player from my favorite team is not debatable. I don’t. I’ll be rooting for LeSean McCoy or DeMacrus Ware because I’m a N.F.L. fan which means I’m a little neurotic and I can’t afford to watch J.P.P  hurt his ankle backflipping or Cruz pulling a groin muscle doing the salsa.
