As the draft grows closer, one name keeps getting hotter and hotter.

Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill has been one of the biggest hits of the offseason, showing fantastic speed and athletic ability at the Combine, and his Pro Day was well-represented by NFL coaches and scouts.

Specifically, Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith attended the Georgia Tech pro day, along with Falcons coach Mike Smith, Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier, and Buffalo Bills GM Buddy Nix.

The Bears are probably in the most realistic position to acquire Hill, and he is in position to be selected in the first round after blowing scouts away with his pro day workout. Hill is having a similar offseason rise to that of Demaryius Thomas, another former Georgia Tech wide receiver from a couple of years ago, who wound up being the first receiver selected in the 2010 NFL Draft ahead of Dez Bryant.

Hill is a big play receiver with good size and speed. Gil Brandt of NFL.com say that “Hill lit it up,” and a lot of scouts are buzzing about this kid right now. For what it’s worth, both Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay of ESPN predicted in their latest mock drafts that Hill would be a first round pick to the 49ers, but I’m not so sure the Bears wouldn’t take a shot on him in the first round.

This is a name to monitor as the draft goes closer. SI.com’s Tony Pauline said that Hill won’t last any further than pick number 25, which is held by the Denver Broncos. They didn’t send John Fox or Brian Xanders to the pro day, but you can bet they had a representative there.
