This is our most recent updated Big Board. It was mostly a consensus between Sayre and I. I pitched him my big board and he made adjustments as he saw fit, and then I took that board and kicked it towards our lead writer Reggie McColgan to see what he thought.
It’s not finished by any means, there are still a lot of players to sort out. And a few players that are ranked far too low for my own liking, I’m just still figuring out where to put them. To me We have Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor, Donta Hightower, LB, Alabama, Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A and M too low. Nico Johnson is also probably too low. Also I love Xavier Rhodes and we have him far, far too low. The thing about Rhodes though is as a redshirt sophomore I’ve assumed he’ll return to school so his ranking is not a big deal to me for now. I just have to figure out who I think needs to move down (Vontaze Burfict has been making a run at that) to make room for these players I just listed.
I kind of picked and chose the redshirt sophomore I listed, so Michael Brockers is not on here for example (neither is Aaron Murray). I think next year it’ll be better to just leave them off until the dust settles and I know for sure who is or is not declaring.
But like I said he’s a basic understanding of where we view most players values as it stands right now.
Notice: I’ve written more than a few times I’m not impressed with Landry Jones (71) or Josh Chapman (89) and have reflected that in my big board. Those two rankings are not ones I feel are too low at the moment.
There’s also a report that Manti Te’o will return to Norte Dame, so that will be obviously be reflected in our next update (which will happen after the bowl games and when the official day to declare (January 15th) has passed.
