Pros:
attacks the line of scrimmage…does a good job with his drops in zone coverage…think build…smart and instinctive…good motor…a leader who has played through injuries..fairly productive…experienced
Cons:
lacks height and has short arms…questionable sideline to sideline speed…should be better at shedding blocks with his bulk…doesn’t exhibit great change of direction skills and struggles to play in space and make tackles in the open field…doesn’t lay walloping hits
Player comparison:
Round projection:
6th
Thoughts:
Marve is a tough kid who will play through injuries and he plays with plus instincts which is why he’s always around the football. I don’ think he does a great job of fighting through blocks to make plays and runs himself out of some plays because he’d rather get around blocks in the games I’ve watched I think he has questionable speed to play sideline to sideline, which is a problem because of his pus abiity in coverage he’s probably best suited as a zone coverage guy. Marve doesn’t come with a ton of upside but could be real good on special teams and a reliable player on the field in sub packages, but if he plays long stretches of games I think he’ll be exposed in the N.F.L.
