2012 Scouting Report: Sean Spence, OLB, Miami
By Editorial Staff
This is our Sean Spence scouting report. Spence is an impressive linebacker who plays at the University of Miami. If this scouting report was r going to be broken down into three words this is how it would read: Speed, speed, speed. The challenge for Spence will be to overcome his size (in terms of height, he is shorter than ideal and he’s not bulky).

Player Comparison: Ernie Sims
Round Projection: Early to Mid 3rd Round
Summary:
Sean Spence is an explosive player who can shut down the run game if the Defensive Line can keep him clean. His blitzing and play behind the line of scrimmage is a great strength and weakness for him. A lot the time he is too aggressive and takes bad angles to the ball carrier or chooses the wrong hole. He will have similar problems to what Ernie Simms had. If he can stay healthier and be more of a student of the game than he can have a better career. Teams utilizing their linebackers like torpedoes would like him such as Colts, Titans, Browns, Eagles, Viking, Lions, Bears, and Saints
