Nigel Bradham Scouting Report LB Florida State University
This is our Nigel Bradham scouting report. Bradham is a LB for Florida State University. Bradham is a physical marvel with nice upside who should blow up at the combine. For all of our other scouting reports go to our scouting report page.
Bradham was leaning towards the 2011 N.F.L. draft, but decided to return for his senior season when he heard back from the draft advisory committee.
For this scouting report I did some consulting with my brother Sean Bartolis

Pros
I like to start with a prospect’s best attribute for Bradham that’s his Really Good speed…He’s a productive player, consistently the leading tackler for FSU defense, a leader on defense…does a really good job of shedding blocks…does a good job of blowing up screens…Is probably going to blow up the combine…long arms…Big Time Potential…can rush the passer a bit…can lay some punishing hits
Cons
His biggest issue is that he doesn’t play with great instincts…Isn’t the greatest in pass coverage and has trouble consistently being where he’s supposed to be…scheme limits, best suited in a 4-3…doesn’t play athletically (gets too tall)…inconsistent motor…
Round Projection: Round 4-5
Thoughts:
. He could really excel in a system where he has space and can play a pursuit kind of game. He also has the strength and length to shed blocks and make plays on the ball carrier, but when he’s playing in traffic hand “gets confused” and can be washed out of the play. He also plays with an inconsistent motor often playing with great intensity but sometimes playing without that urgency. Bradham was heavily recruited out of high school and has maintained a fairly high profile throughout college. I could see Bradham sneaking into the third round but the vibe right now is he’s a day three pick.
NFL Mocks preseasonBio
At times will over-pursue plays, but has been extremely effective for Florida State. Had 92 tackles and five sacks last year to complement a junior campaign where he had 88 tackles, a sack, and an interception. Good closing speed and solid instincts, but like I said before, tends to over-pursue and make incorrect reads. If he can show more consistency this season, he should be a 2nd or 3rd round pick based on his upside and overall production at a major institution. Good athlete as well.
