Datone Jones Scouting Report DE UCLA Bruins
This is our framework for our Datone Jones scouting report. Jones is a talented, but inconsistent and not quite productive enough DL for the UCLA Bruins. It’s likely he’ll return for another season of College Football in 2012, but be on the lookout for him. If he puts it together he could go pretty high.

Pros
Great upside…Great size for a 43 defensive end…high effort…good athlete…long arms…
Cons
Has largely disappointed along with rest of UCLA defensive line as they’ve given up at 200 yards rushing in 5 games this year…hasn’t pressure quarterback enough…Could get a bit stronger….plays high too often..has to fight through blocks more…could use more pass rush moves….injury history
Player Comparison
UCLA – This talented performer seemed poised for a big season in 2010, but was sent to the sidelines by a foot injury during Fall Camp … Possesses the ability to be a disruptive force in opposing backfields … Expected to be one of the team’s defensive leaders and the anchor of the defensive line.
