This is odd. His official bio page lists him at 285 pounds. He’s played around 260 in previous years.

2011 — 37 tackles (14 solo), 12.5 tackles for loss (60 yards), 6 sacks, 7 hurries, 2 forced fumbles, 2 blocked kicks.
2010 — 28 tackles (18 solo), 14.5 tackles for loss (74 yards), 7 sacks, 5 hurries, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, 3 blocked kicks.
2009 — 35 tackles (16 solo), 14.5 tackles for loss (98 yards), 9.5 sacks, 17 hurries, 2 forced fumbles.
2008 — 30 tackles (20 solo), 16 tackles for loss (109 yards), 9 sacks, 7 hurries, four fumble recoveries, 2 forced fumbles, 1 blocked kick.
Whiteside was second in the LSC in sacks (9.5) and fifth in tackles for loss (15.5 for 98 yards). He had 35 tackles overall in earning first-team all-LSC South honors for the second straight year. And ACU’s defense, ranked No. 1 in the nation against the rush, was the main reason the Wildcats went 9-4 and reached the second round of the playoffs.

2011 (Senior): Preseason LSC Defensive Player of the Year for Wildcat team picked to repeat as LSC champion and ranked as high as second in NCAA Division II preseason polls. Preseason first team all-America selection by d2football.com.
2010 (Junior): Turned in another dominating performance to lead Wildcats to first 11-0 regular season in ACU history. Earned first team all-LSC, LSC Defensive Lineman of the Year for the third time, Daktronics all-Region IV as selected by CoSIDA, Daktronics Region IV Defensive Player of the Year, and all-Region IV and third team all-America by Football Gazette. Had 28 tackles (18 solo) in 12 games with 10 starts along with 14.5 tackles behind LOS (74 yards in losses), 7 QB sacks (47 yards in losses), 1 interception returned for 58 yards and a TD (in 65-3 win over Tarleton State), 5 fumble recoveries and 3 blocked kicks. Led team in QB sacks and tackles for loss.
