NFL Mocks NFL Week 8 Night Games Recap

This paragraph will feature two game recaps. I will break down the Cowboys VS Eagles and Chargers VS Chiefs game recap.
Dallas Cowboys VS Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles just flat out dominated this contest. Michael Vick went 21 for 28 with 279 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. LeSean McCoy had 30 carries for 185 rushing yards. Except for left tackle Jason Peters every Eagles offensive lineman showed up to dominate in run blocking and pass blocking.
Dallas Cowboys pass rusher DeMarcus Ware was the standout player with a 34 to 7 loss to Philadelphia. Ware had a career game of 10 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 11 total tackles, and 4 sacks.
Brent Celek looked like a complete tight end dominating in run blocking and pass blocking situations. Celek led the Eagles with 7 receptions for 94 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
Nnamdi Asomugha contained Miles Austin and Dez Bryant when he was lined up against Cowboys receivers and he caught the only interception that Romo threw into coverage.
Romo looked average and you got to give credit to the Eagles defense. The front 7 dominated Dallas’s offensive line in pass blocking and run blocking. The Eagles got sacks on Dallas, kept DeMarco Murray to under 100 rushing yards after he broke Emmitt Smith’s record for most rushing yards in a game, and the defense showed up.
The Eagles cornerbacks Asomugha, Rodgers Cromartie, and Samuel maximized their coverage ability and took the receivers out of the game. One could argue that the Eagles early defensive injuries along with Vick’s poor pass protection limited this teams ability. I am not jumping on the Eagles bandwagon yet, but this team could pose a threat in the NFC East down the stretch if they keep winning moving forward.
San Diego Chargers VS Kansas City Chiefs Game Recap
The Chargers offensive line was not at 100 percent due to injuries at left guard and left tackle. One could argue that right guard Louis Vasquez and right tackle Jerome Clary do not perform up to team expectations. Tamba Hali did an amazing job leading the Chiefs defense to a win.
Both teams struggled in pass blocking, but performed solid in the run blocking department. Neither running back had a standout game. The thing is both teams run blocking units performed well.
Rivers threw 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He also fumbled a snap which resulted in a turnover recovered by the Chiefs late in the game. Rivers cannot have games like this in the regular season moving forward if the Chargers want to make the playoffs.
Thanks to the Chiefs victory, Kansas City, San Diego, and Oakland are all 4-3 tied for 1st. With the 2nd half approaching it will be interesting to see who puts their team in the best position to win the AFC West moving forward.
