College Football Week 7 Games To Watch
By Editorial Staff
#11 Michigan 6-0 (2-0) VS #23 Michigan State 4-1 (1-0) 12 PM Eastern ESPN
This game could dictate who gains an early lead in the Big 10 standings. Michigan got off to an unbeaten start a few years ago before a speed bump against the Spartans led to a poor finish by the Wolverines.
Prediction Michigan State 27 Michigan 23
#20 Baylor 4-1 (1-1) VS #21 Texas A&M 3-2 (1-1) 12 PM Eastern FX
Robert Griffin III has looked like a first round prospect so far. Today Griffin goes on the road against an A&M team in a tough atmosphere.
Prediction Baylor 23 Texas A&M 20
#15 South Carolina 5-1 (3-1) VS Mississippi State 3-3 (0-3) 12:21 PM Eastern Channel 19
Alshon Jeffery and Lattimore will provide enough firepower for South Carolina to win.
Prediction South Carolina 34 Mississippi State 14
#1 LSU 6-0 (3-0) VS Tennessee 3-2 (0-2) 3:30 Eastern
No Tyler Bray. No chance for Tennessee to pull the upset. The Vols will struggle without the 2013 quarterback prospect who I projected as my top quarterback in my inaugural 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
Prediction LSU 42 Tennessee 17
#6 Oklahoma State 5-0 (2-0) VS #22 Texas 4-1 (1-1) 3:30 Eastern ABC/ESPN/ESPN 2
Oklahoma State has a deadly passing attack with Weeden, Blackmon, and a legit pass blocking offensive line. I’d pick Texas, but I think the quarterback controversy at Texas using 2 quarterbacks dictates the outcome of this game.
Prediction Oklahoma State 28 Texas 24
#5 Boise State 5-0 (0-0) VS Colorado State 3-2 (1-0) 6 PM Eastern
I don’t know if we get this game on TV. Colorado State has quarterback Pete Thomas who could be a 2013 or 2014 first rounder. Nordly Capi is 2nd in the nation with 8 sacks. Boise beats opponents with blue uniforms on blue turf. Colorado State beats up on opponents with their green uniforms on green grass. You can make jokes about how I may have been on green grass when I made this pick, but I am taking the upset. Colorado State Rams knock off Boise State tonight.
Final Score Colorado State 21 Boise State 20
#2 Alabama 6-0 (3-0) VS Ole Miss 2-3 (0-2) 6 PM Eastern ESPN 2
Alabama recorded a 34 to 0 shutout over Vanderbilt last week. Alabama should have similar success against Ole Miss.
Final Score Alabama 31 Ole Miss 7
#18 Arizona State 5-1 (3-0) VS #9 Oregon 4-1 (2-0) 10:15 PM Eastern ESPN
This is one of the games of the night. Vontaze Burfict will establish why he is a top 10 talent in tonights contest. Arizona State’s defense was the only defense to keep Andrew Luck from throwing a touchdown last year. They have the talent to limit Oregon’s high octane offense.
Prediction Arizona State 31 Oregon 17
