Fantasy Football Start and Sit
Quarterback
Start
Eli Manning-Eli Manning. Last time Eli faced the Arizona Cardinals he set a career high in completion percentage went he went 26 for 33. Eli has also been hot the last six quarters. Lastly, Eli Manning is 20-4 in his career in October. It’s his month. Ride him while it last. He tends to struggle once December rolls around.
Sit
Joe Flacco-I expect a very low scoring game on Sunday vs the Jets. I think Joe Flacco is up and down as far as a fantasy quarterback goes. That seems to contradict my starting Torrey Smith up top earlier, but not really. I have no other options at wide receiver. I mean I might start Brandon Gibson. Brandon Gibson. Yuck. That’s not even that deep of a league.
Running back:
Start
James Starks- I don’t consider Starks a must start yet, but the Broncos front seven is not that good, especially vs the run. Ryan Grant is OUT for Sunday’s game.
Reggie Bush
With Daniel Thomas out on Sunday someone has to touch the ball in the Dolphins backfield. The Dolphins are going to lose to the Chargers on Sunday, but that doesn’t matter in fantasy football. The Chargers are giving up 4.3 yards per attempt and a 111 yards a game on the ground. Bush should have a decent day and has good flex value for Sunday.
Sit
Shonne Green
Green has really had a bad season this year and has been a disappointment. I don’t expect that to change much on Sunday night vs the Ravens. The Jets are in a major identity crisis on offense as they look to try and transition to Sanchez throwing the ball more. The interior of their offensive line has also struggled and Nick Mangold is out for Sunday night’s game.
Arian Foster
Foster hasn’t had a game of full health yet and the Texans are easing him back into action. he’s expected to see a lot of time this weekend, but he’s up against the Steelers. It often takes players a while to get back into the groove after missing time from an injury. I don’t expect huge things out of Foster. It’s tough pill to swallow to sit Foster, but I’d consider it if you have another pretty good option. Don’t sit him for a Caillac Williams or something, but sit him if you have a more favorable matchup.
Wide Receiver
Start:
Brandon Lloyd
Brandon Lloyd only has 10 receptions for a 127 yards this season through the first three weeks and has been a fantasy disappointment. But there are two reasons I like Lloyd this weekend. First I don’t think the Broncos defense can stop Green Bay so I expect them to be down early and have to be in a position to throw the ball a lot. Secondly, the Packers are giving up 359 yards through the air a game.
Sit:
Anquan Boldin
Boldin welcome to Revis island. Revis can minimize the likes of Andre Johnson. he can definitely shut down Boldin.
David Nelson, WR, Buffalo Bills
The Bengals are not a good football team, but they are a good young defense. The Bengals have only given up 188 yards a game through the air this season. The Bills are the leagues highest scoring offense. Something has to give this weekend. I’d stay away from Nelson and Donald Jones.
Tight End:
Start:
Jermaine Gresham
Last week the Bills got torched by the Patriots in the passing game. They were lucky to get the four interceptions. Gronkowski had 2 Td and over a 100 yards. Greshman won’t put up those numbers, but he’s in a good position this week.
Scott Chandler, Buffalo
While I”m thinking about the Bills and Bengals why don’t you start Chandler. I don’t think the Bills wideouts are in for a good day, but I still expect the Bills to move the ball. Chandler is red-zone option number three on the Bills behind Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson. I would expect 5 catches, 50 yards and a score on Sunday. Pretty good day for Chandler I think coming up, even though the Bengals have been good against the pass.
Sit:
Dallas Clark-If you have a better option. Curtis Painter will make the start on Monday night. This could be brutal. I’m uneasy about starting Dallas Clark in my one league over Fred Davis and I might make the last minute switch. Painter and Collins have looked pretty awful so far this year and I don’t want to be relying on either player really.

Good luck, today
