In my ever changing predictions…I think I have watched enough Pre Season, analyzed enough transactions, and finally trust my gut enough to put it down in writing….My season predictions.
| AFC East | ||||
| New England Patriots | 12–4 | Very Established team with a franchise QB…problems arise with physicality | ||
| New York Jets | 10–6 | Solid team with a great pressure filled defense…I think Sanchez will miss some of his weapons | ||
| Buffalo Bills | 7–9 | Slowly improving team. Does Fitzpatrick have enough help on offense though? | ||
| Miami Dolphins | 5–11 | I see this team plummeting around midseason…lame duck coach will only inspire team so long. | ||
| AFC North | ||||
| Pittsburgh Steelers | 12–4 | Does this team ever slow down? Offense looks on par with defense. | ||
| Baltimore Ravens | 10–6 | Could be the last hurrah for Ray Lewis and Ed Reed? Too bad I don’t see them slaying the Steelers | ||
| Cleveland Browns | 6–10 | Team is going the right direction and will push the Steelers and Ravens…in 2012 | ||
| Cincinnati Bengals | 3–13 | Team is in rebuild mode…Bengals are in constant rebuild mode. | ||
| AFC South | ||||
| Houston Texans | 10–6 | I feel like I am not studying history when making this prediction. | ||
| Indianapolis Colts | 9–7 | Mojo is just not there for the Colts who will fall behind the 8 ball quickly. | ||
| Tennessee Titans | 6–10 | Nice to see CJ back but this team has defensive problems that will hinder them. | ||
| Jacksonville Jaguars | 5–11 | QB play, lack of weapons, and a defense that can not be counted on will make Del Rio’s seat…very warm. | ||
| AFC West | ||||
| San Diego Chargers | 11–5 | Team is built for a championship…coaches will keep them from attaining it. | ||
| Kansas City Chiefs | 7–9 | Chiefs will regret letting Weis go. | ||
| Oakland Raiders | 6–10 | I sense the Raiders are going to be horribly inconsistent from week to week. Just a guess. | ||
| Denver Broncos | 5–11 | I think Elway/Fox will get the Broncos going the right direction…but time and patience will be needed. | ||
| Wild Card | Winners | |||
| Jets @ Chargers | Chargers | Jets just aren’t as good and Rex Ryan can only do so much. | ||
| Ravens @ Texans | Ravens | Texans just are too green in the Playoffs and it’s a Rule of Thumb the Ravens are always good for 1 playoff win. | ||
| Divisional Round | ||||
| Chargers @ Steelers | Steelers | No way the Chargers go into Pittsburgh and pull out a victory. | ||
| Ravens @ Patriots | Ravens | Patriots lack of physicality on offensive and defensive line will be exposed against the Ravens. | ||
| AFC Championship | ||||
| Ravens @ Steelers | Steelers | Sorry Ravens fans but I do not even remember the last time the Ravens beat the Steelers when Big Ben was playing. | ||
| Super Bowl | ||||
| Steelers vs. Falcons | Steelers | Close game, but Steelers will come up on top in another great Super Bowl | ||
| NFC East | ||||
| Philadelphia Eagles | 11–5 | Offensive line and Vick’s health will prevent them from winning more. | ||
| Dallas Cowboys | 10–6 | I think Garrett will get the Cowboys back to elite status. | ||
| New York Giants | 9–7 | Tough offseason for the Giants losing Austin, Thomas, and Amukamara for a while…doesn’t bode well. | ||
| Washington Redskins | 6–10 | Offense looks sound with Shanahan family running it…too bad defense will have some problems. | ||
| NFC North | ||||
| Green Bay Packers | 12–4 | There will be no Super Bowl Hangover for this team. | ||
| Detroit Lions | 11–5 | If injuries do not hit this team, they can hang with anyone. | ||
| Chicago Bears | 8–8 | Lot of luck went their way in 2010…unlikely it will happen 2 years in a row. Plus Bears always let down after good season. | ||
| Minnesota Vikings | 5–11 | Lines of scrimmage are not what they once were. | ||
| NFC South | ||||
| Atlanta Falcons | 12–4 | Hardly any weaknesses on the team. I think they are primed for greatness. | ||
| New Orleans Saints | 11–5 | Brees looks past last season turnovers…I sense a battle for the NFC South Crown. | ||
| Tampa Bay Buccs | 8–8 | I give this team the Most Overrated Label. Young and inexperienced…I think 2012 will be there year. | ||
| Carolina Panthers | 3–13 | Newton will struggle and this team will be discussing Andrew Luck next season….I hope I am wrong. | ||
| NFC West | ||||
| St. Louis Rams | 9–7 | Weak division will allow a mediocre team to post 9 wins. | ||
| Arizona Cardinals | 8–8 | I think Kolb to Fitzgerald will be exciting…too bad the rest of the team is not. | ||
| Seattle Seahawks | 5–11 | No QB will doom the team. I think not bringing back Hasselbeck was a sign that they will be in play for Luck. | ||
| San Fransisco 49ers | 4–12 | They look plain horrible. Bottom line. | ||
| Wild Card | Winners | |||
| Lions @ Eagles | Lions | Vick will be on his last legs at this time and will not be able to escape Suh and the rest of the Pride. | ||
| Saints @ Rams | Saints | Saints will not repeat last season’s NFC West debacle. | ||
| Divisional Round | ||||
| Lions @ Falcons | Falcons | Close game but Falcons will not be upset at home. | ||
| Saints @ Packers | Packers | Battle supreme comes down to playing in Lambeau Field | ||
| NFC Championship | ||||
| Falcons @ Packers | Falcons | Matt Ryan will earn his elite status this post season. |
