NFL Teams Most Likely to Draft Terrelle Pryor by Division

AFC East

Buffalo Bills

The Bills currently do not have a quarterback of the future. They were one of the handful of teams in 2010 looking seriously into drafting Tim Tebow, so I don’t think Chan Gailey and his staff are afraid of the media hype that comes along with it as well as the knowledge that it takes time to develop quarterbacks. They could also be very creative in using Pryor.

NFC East

Washington Redskins

Another team here that doesn’t have a quarterback of the future, and Mike Shanahan certainly not afraid to take risks on players with character issues, specifically Ohio State players (Maurice Clarett). I think Pryor could fit in well with that system in the future, and he might actually provide some kind of upgrade over what the Redskins currently have at quarterback.

AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pryor is a Pennsylvania native, and the Steelers can afford the risk.

I think Pittsburgh would be able to give Pryor time to develop and possibly see some spot duty behind Ben Roethlisberger, and make him into a good NFL player. If he is willing to be patient, he could be traded to another team in a couple of years or possibly take over as the quarterback of the future (Roethlisberger’s age in three years).

**Honorable mention–Cleveland Browns**

NFC North

Green Bay Packers

Why not? The Packers are set to make Matt Flynn a hot commodity on the open market, so why not pick up another possible backup option to Aaron Rodgers with this kind of upside? It would certainly seem to go against Green Bay’s style, but of the teams in the NFC North, I believe they are the best place for him to go.

AFC South

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have the most stability in terms of the franchise, but least in terms of looking forward at quarterback. If and when Peyton Manning calls it quits in a few years, as of right now, the Colts have nothing to let fans believe there is another option at the quarterback position. I think Pryor could come to the Colts, learn from the best, and be a good quarterback in a few years.

NFC South

New Orleans Saints

The Saints could get creative with Pryor offensively, bringing him in as a wildcat quarterback and possibly at times as a receiver.

I think he could be a solid developmental project for them, and a guy who would love to work in their “air it out” system.

**Honorable mention–Tampa Bay Buccaneers**

AFC West

Oakland Raiders

Because Al Davis would. Right?

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks, like some other teams on this list, do not have a quarterback of the future, unlike the other teams in this division. In fact, they probably have the best overall roster outside of that one position–the most important in the NFL. I think bringing in a guy like Pryor could get the fans pumped as well as give the Seahawks a low-risk guy to build the franchise around if they so choose.
