Denver Broncos News

It has been an interesting day for the Denver Broncos. Yesterday, the Broncos were in fierce trade talks with the Miami Dolphins to trade quarterback Kyle Orton. Today, news has broke that the two sides are in a stalemate. Reportedly, the Broncos are unhappy with the offer that the Dolphins have given. Since Orton has not been traded, he showed up at the Denver Broncos’ training camp and took snaps with the 1st team offense. The Broncos other quarterback Tim Tebow took snaps with the second team but Kyle Orton clearly looked better. Anything can happen and a trade can still happen, but for now, it does not appear Orton will be going to Miami.

In other Bronco news, the team has agreed to contracts with all of its rookies including 2nd overall draft pick Von Miller. The other rookie draft picks include 2nd round safety Rahim Moore, 2nd round tackle Orlando Franklin, 3rd round linebacker Nate Irving, 4th round safety Quinton Carter, 4th round tight end Julius Thomas, 6th round linebacker Mike Mohammed, 7th round tight end Virgil Green, and 7th round defensive end Jeremy Beal.

Stay tuned for other Bronco news. They are currently in the market for a defensive tackle and a running back. They are in heavy pursuit of defensive tackle Brandon Mebane. Additionally, the Broncos have interest in defensive tackles Cullen Jenkins, Derek Landri, and Daniel Muir. They also have reported interest in running backs Jason Snelling and Willis McGahee.
