New York Giants Add Jarriel King and Henry Hynoski
There are a few teams that are over the cap like the Raiders, Cowboys, Giants, Ravens are still showing that they could be players in free agency.
The Giants have signed a pair of players that have realistic chances of making the team with T Jarriel King and FB Henry Hynoski.
The Giants lack a quality full back on the roster if Madison Hedgecock is not retained. Hedgecock had a brilliant 2008 season, but since then has been hampered by injuries or displayed uneven play. The Giants are one of the few teams that still feature a full back and this move could signal the end for Madison Hedgecock. The Giants last year used converted Tight End Bear Pascoe as their fullback and he did an admiarble job, but isn’t the caliber of fullback Hynoski can be in the N.F.L. With Kevin Boss being a free agent and the Giants not drafting any tight ends it is conceivable that Pascoe will be converted back to a tight end for the 2011 season.
Even though many fans and analysts believed the Giants did an excellent job finding value, they were skeptical about the fact the Giants waited until the fourth round to draft an offensive linemen. It’s curious the Giants didn’t snag up one of the undrafted free agent centers (Kris O’dowd and Jake Kirkpatrick went to the Cardinals and Colts respectively), though they still might.
The Cowboys, and Ravens have also been busy.
The Cowboys have signed:
Mario Butler (CB, Georgia Tech)
