In a mailbag question and answer form, Tony Grossi of Cleveland.com, believes the Browns will not explore WR options in free agency
A: Hey, Travis: I don’t see the Browns making a move on any receiver in free agency. They already have a cast of thousands at the position and have consistently expressed confidence in the receivers on their roster.
One draft related note and something I find interesting as a draft junkie was about whether or not Cleveland is ahead of Atlanta in the supplemental draft.
Q: Hey, Tony: My question is about the supplemental draft. Assuming that it does take place, do the Browns get to take any of Atlanta’s turns? We have their first- and fourth-round picks next year and when you take a player in this draft, you forfeit next year’s corresponding draft pick. So, since the Falcons don’t have those rounds, do we get to take their place? — Nick Snyder, Atlanta
A: Hey, Nick: I submitted this question to an NFL official. Here was the response: Clubs are reminded that the priority does not reflect the actual order of each round, which may be affected by previously completed trades involving 2011 draft choices. Clubs are also reminded that choices to which they do not own clear title may not be exercised in the Supplemental Draft. Clubs who own clear title to an additional selection choice in a round must specify which selection choice they are exercising.

Thanks for all your work. I was wondering where you think that Johnny White will be in the backfield. With Fred and CJ carrying most of the load, do you see him more as a returner or do you think he will get some carries. I think he can develop into a complement to CJ once Fred leaves.
Michael
CB: I see a lot of special teams work ahead for Johnny White, who can serve in a lot of roles on that unit. I could also envision him being a goal line back as the season wears on. The kid runs downhill… hard. He’s an inside runner primarily, so if they want to take some of the wear and tear off Fred I could see him spelling Jackson a bit here and there. However, if he gets more than 4-8 touches a game on offense as a rookie I’d be surprised, just because of who is in front of him on the depth chart.
White was one of our sleeper running backs in the draft and a choice I really liked for the Bills, but I could see White getting minimal opportunities at least early. Last year C.J. Spiller only had one game with more than 8 carries per game, so that seems very likely. Although if the Bills have imporved their run defense as they clearly tried to do in the draft. They should have a lot more total offensive plays this year.
Chad Jones still plans on playing for the New York Giants in the future.
t’s never taken me six months to do anything, not one single thing,” said Jones, who won national championships in football and baseball at LSU. “[But] it took me six months just to basically walk. It took me 30 minutes to take three steps when I first started rehab in the hospital. It was excruciating pain just even standing up and letting that blood flow again through my leg.”I am definitely about 70 percent better,” Jones continued. “There was talk of me not even being able to walk again and now I am actually jogging. I’ve been through a long journey.
I’m really rooting for Jones. Here’s hoping to he can find his way back on to the football field.
