2011 Fantasy Football RB Sleeper Picks

We here at NFLMOCKS have now decided to include more Fantasy Football. I believe it was a long time coming.

There is now a “TAB” on the top left hand corner called “FANTASY FB” click on it to see other writings by Mr. Freakin’ Fantasy, along with other writers about Fantasy Football.

Fantasy Sleepers!!  This is one of the hardest things to predict because you really never know who will pan out. Fantasy Football is all about information, the latest and greatest information….that’s ever changing! You need to do your research, and have  good sources. Here at NFLMOCKS we are committed to bringing you the latest up to date Fantasy Football information. We do all the homework, so you don’t have to!

A Fantasy Sleeper is all about trying to have the inside track on who the best players will be, at the best value. Look at Arian Foster, Darren McFadden, and Peyton Hillis last year. All of them were drafted in the later rounds.  Hillis went undrafted by many, and most likely helped you to your leagues playoffs, or better yet….win a championship!!  Having the inside track gives you power, and a subtle confidence about yourself when drafting.  So, when your friends make fun of you for drafting “that guy”. You can sit back……smile :), and realize you might have struck Fantasy gold!!

Here are just a few Fantasy Football RB sleepers in no particular order…..

Bernard Scott.  Still not sure what’s happening with Cedric Benson, but I like Scott’s talent. He can catch the ball out of the back field, and could be a home runner hitter if given the opportunity. Scott’s last year numbers were 61 carries 299 yards and 1 td. The NFL is now filled with players like this. I think this is the year he might break out ….to some extent. Take a late round flyer on him, you never know!

Marshawn Lynch.  “Beast Mode” might be let out the cage this year. We all seen that crazy run against the Saints in last year’s playoffs!!…WOW.  He broke like 8 tackles! This year he might get his chance to be the man, and you won’t have to pay a steep price to find out. Last years numbers, 737 yards with 6 tds and 138 rec yards. Did that shock  any of you? The numbers weren’t that bad. I would drafted him after the 10th round….you might be rewarded with a solid number two RB!

Danny Woodhead: HA HA HA…his name is Woodhead. Sorry Danny,  just kidding.  Well, this kid is no laughing matter. I hope you guys watched Danny play last year! He was awesome! On just 97 carries he amassed 547 yards (5.6 average) with 5 tds, in addition to the 34 rec, and 379 yards with 1 td!! If the “Hooded One” gives this kid a shot to win the starting gig…he might run away with it. I know the “Law Firm” is still there, and the Patriots just drafted two rookie RBs, but I’m taking a chance with this kid. Also, in some leagues Danny can be played in the WR position, that helps raise his value! I say, take a chance on Woodhead.

Donald Brown. In his first two years with the Colts Mr. Brown has been oft-injured. He will be the forgotten man in your 2011 Fantasy Football draft. I still think the Colts drafted him to take over for Addai, who can not stay healthy himself. I would take a very late round flyer to maybe hit the jackpot. You can always hope.

Brandon Jacobs. I guess Jacobs isn’t exactly a sleeper, but Bradshaw with be the man everyone goes after come draft time. The Giants have a good team, and they like to run when the team is ahead in the game. Bradshaw will have too big of a price tag for me, and most likely will be drafted in the 3rd and 4th rounds of a Fantasy Draft this year. Bradshaw has got that bad foot, so I would be careful reaching real high for him. Instead, I say wait 5 or 6 rounds later and draft Jacobs, his numbers last year were 823 rush yards 9 tds..YES!! 9, and 59 rec yards. Don’t reach for Bradshaw,  take the gamble on Jacobs late in the draft!!

Hope you guys liked the RB sleepers. Bring on the comments.
