2011 NFL Preseason Schedule Revealed

The 2011 NFL preseason schedule was released on Tuesday despite the league’s lockout of the players. Kicking off the preseason will be the St. Louis Rams and Chicago Bears on Sunday, Aug. 7 in the annual Hall of Fame Game played in Canton, OH.
Week 1’s national television schedule includes the Seattle Seahawks at the San Diego Chargers on August 11 at 8 PM ET on ESPN and the up and coming Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Kansas City Chiefs on August 12 at 8 PM ET on FOX. The third will be televised on ESPN on August 15 with the New York Jets traveling to Houston to face the Texans for the first Monday night preseason game of the season.
Pennsylvania is the spotlight in week 2 when the Eagles head to Pittsburgh on August 18 in a game televised by FOX at 8 PM ET. The other week 3 games include Atlanta at Jacksonville on August 19 at 8PM ET on FOX and Chicago at the New York Giants on Aug. 22 at 8 PM ET, televised on ESPN.
Usually we see teams’ starters play the longest in week 3 and this season, there will be four games that are nationally televised. The Redskins go to Baltimore to play the Ravens on August 25 at 8 PM ET on ESPN and the Super Bowl Champion Packers will play at the Indianapolis Colts at 8 PM ET on August 26 televised on CBS. That nationally televised games will wrap up with the New England Patriots playing the Detroit Lions on August 27 at 8 PM ET on CBS and the Saints playing at the Oakland Raiders on August 28 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
