Mock Draft Posted
Since, Sayre and I become the new editors late last week, we’ve been focusing on updating all of the features of the site as well as adding some of our own touches.
We’ve been working hard to update the position rankings, which should be completed by the end of today. We’ve also added a table that shows the picks of each team by division for those of you who want to do divisional or team mock drafts, and today I’m going to introduce my first mock draft.
What a mock draft should is, is something I find interesting. Mock drafts are usually considered to be what you think a team WILL do in the draft, which is basically trying to accurately predict what will actually happen. Most times I think fans and readers are thinking about what they would like the team to do in the draft, well over the next few weeks, and as long as I’m editor, I’m going to do all kinds of different mocks, instead of just trying to guess exactly what will happen pick by pick.
For my first mock, I’ve decided to take the route of an “Unorthodox mock draft” that is seeking to explore a different possibility each team might pick in the first round with a balance of fulfilling a need and getting value in the second round. I recognize that the likelihood that all of the picks happen in mock is slim, but I think that there are some teams who might make the uncommon selections I’ve tried to pinpoint, hopefully for you conventionalists out there the second round will win you over if the first didn’t.
Here goes nothing….
UnOrthodox Mock Draft 1.
In my unorthodox mocks, I try to present a different point of view of possibilities because the draft is fun just because you never know what’s going to happen.
Fans do generally have a good feel for what the teams need and of course fans of teams know what they Want for their team, but what we are not privy too are the countless conversations between G.M. and scouts. The interview sessions, the medical records, or in house disputes. So a lot of times pick come out of “nowhere” to the fans, I’m going to try and pinpoint some of those possible picks, but at the same time I want it to make sense.
After the combine I’ll try to start predicting more accurately what I think will Happen (and even have a nifty little feature I’ll do) by having a more conventional mock draft , so just think of this draft as what is possible to happen, but perhaps not probable.
#1 Carolina Panthers-A.J. Green
I’ll tell you this much I don’t envy Carolina for an instant. Ideally if you’re picking first in the draft there are two ways you want to go: You want to get your franchise LT for the next 10 or 15 years or you want to get your franchise Quarterback, but in this case Carolina won’t be able to do that this year, and to top that off they don’t have the first pick in the second round either.
There are only five real options here: nick Fairley, Daquan Bowers, PP, A.J. Green, and reaching for a QB.
Cornerbacks don’t first overall because they lack the positional value of other players (yes they are important, but Great cornerbacks can not dictate games because they can be avoided). Nick Fairley might be a one year wonder, Bowers too. Gabbert/Newton/Locker/Mallet and A.J. Green was suspended by the NCAA which brings about “character concerns” (even if most NCAA suspensions are ridiculous)
But of the five picks only Green has been productive more than one season and presents positional and talent value. Adding Green gives Clausen the best chance to succeed. I think Bowers makes the second most sense, he was a super high school recruit and finally started to showcase his abilities, Fairley is nice, but in my humble opinion overrated.
#2 Denver Broncos-Marcel Dareus
Even if I’m in the minority here I just think Dareus is a better player. Fairley is the more likely pick here, but Darues is a possibility if the Broncos feel the same way I do . PP is a very nice player, but like I said building trenches is more important than an elite cornerback, even though an elite cornerback is nice to have.
#3 Buffalo Bills-Nick Fairley
Before I got busy two weeks ago I was going to write in Von Miller here at #3 (not my ideal pick, but a possibility). My initial mock had Robert Quinn here because I’ve used the same logic a few times. The Bills biggest weakness is not their Defensive line it’s their linebackers and lack of pass rush. They want to run a 3-4 (otherwise they would have not resigned Merriman or drafted Troupe and Carrington in the 2nd and 3rd rounds last year). And while I still think OLB is THE most important need for this team they could go with Fairley here as a Best Player Available type of selection.
#4 Cincinnati Bengals-Patrick Peterson
In my last mock I pinpointed the Bengals as a team that is possible to trade down and grab a player like Gabe Carimi because when the Bengals were a punishing run team last year they made the playoffs and dominated the division, this year that was a big area that suffered and now they are picking fourth overall. They play in the toughest division in football (not the best, Hard-nosed though) so they need to be able to play physical with the other teams in this division, but I’ll go a different route here.
Daquan Bowers is also a very likely possibility, but Jonathan Joseph is going to be a free agent and looking to command an enormous contract. Will the Bengals franchise him? Probably, but maybe not and if they don’t Peterson could be the best player available here. Peterson could fill the void left by the (possible) departure of Joseph and also provide another option for the return game which was not great this year (Kick Returner Bernard Scott was pretty good), but they averaged 4.8 yards per punt return this season , which is awful.
#5 Arizona Cardinals–Robert Quinn
There are only two teams in the top 7 that run a 4-3 and Da’Quan Bowers gets passed on by both of them he’s in for a little bit of a fall because I just don’t think he’s a 3-4 Rush OLB.
Anyway, Calais Campbell lead the team with 6 sacks last year, which is even more pathetic considering they play in the N.F.C West which does not have teams with dominating offensive lines or quick decision, good quarterbacks. They need to be able to get to the quarterbacks
#6 Cleveland Browns-Da’Quan Bowers
Actually, it turns out upon a little more research it turns out that the Browns are likely to switch to a 4-3 defense, which means Bowers should be impossible to pass up on if he happens to fall this far. They don’t have a dominating 4-3 DE and they need one. Every team needs to be able to hit the Quarterback, its very important. Bowers is a steal for the Browns at this point.
#7 San Francisco 49ers-Von MIller
49ers fans want the team to take a cornerback understandably. But Manny Lawson is a free agent and probably will not be retained.
And Again the two most important things in the league are hitting the quarterback, and having a good quarterback. The 49ers don’t do either. Their two best sack masters are their ILB and Justin Smith their DE. Von Miller is a talented pass rusher, one that Adam Schefter says should go in the top 5. I know he’s smaller, but he has the ability to drop into coverage and he’s relentless and productive in college. I don’t know why there are so many out there who don’t like him. I don’t think he’s Aaron Maybin, I like his game.
Their Franchise QB or Prince Amukamara are possibilities here
#8 Tennessee Titans-Prince Amukamura
It was reported that the Titans were really interested in Jason Pierre Paul last year before settling for Derrick Morgan so I was tempted to give them JPP’s clone in Aldon Smith this year, but decided to give them a potential shut down cornerback.
#9 Dallas Cowboys-Cameron Jordan
Fans like Cameron Jordan as the pick, and only because I haven’t seen it everywhere I’ll cave in here. I think Akeem Ayers could be a possibility if they were picking down further. Bradie James is average and Keith Brooking is old. Sean Lee can replace one of those two players, but they still need another linebacker. Offensive line is a possibility here as well and is a vogue pick. Maybe Mark Ingram or Julio Jones becomes tempting for them as well, but anyway trading down from here is a possibility.
#10 Washington Redskins-Blaine Gabbert
I can’t go forever without giving a team a QB somewhere. I think the first QB will come of the board much earlier then this, but it just didn’t happen here. I think that’ll be adjusted next time.
#11 Houston Texans-Julio Jones
Houston is going to need a 3-4 personnel unless they believe they have them already on their roster, but in this particular mock draft. 4 of the top 3-4 DE/OLB candidates are already gone leaving Aldon Smith and some reaches here, and I’d have to imagine if there is a free agency they will be aggressive to fill those needs in free agency. I like Smith’s skill set, but the Texans could use a complement to Andre Johnson. Kevin Walter is nice, but Julio Jones might enable the Texans to overcome the Colts as the best offense in the division year in and year out. They’ll never have the QB that the Colts have, but maybe they can out weapon them.
#12 Minnesota Vikings-OT Derrick Sherrod
Sherrod is MY Personal #1 OT in this class. I think he’s the most balanced and possibly the best athlete. He quietly had a fine senior bowl. He has long arms and is a good prospect. I don’t know if Solder’s potential will be too much to overcome, but Sherrod’s a good player here and the Vikings could look to give Joe Webb/Tavaris Jackson another chance or sign someone like Donovan Mcnabb since they have the talent to win now.
#13 Detroit Lions-Nate Solder
Lions fans are stuck on the team drafting a Linebacker or a cornerback, but why? I don’t understand why fans get so mad when teams grab good players. Even if the Lions improve their linebacker corps this off-season they still have some more work to do to be the best team in the division. The Bears and Packers are better now. The Vikings have more complementary pieces as well. Jeff Backus isn’t good.
IBt the Lions seem stuck on Jeff Backus and they drafted Jason Fox last year who could be a potential starting tackle down the road, but I wasn’t that high on Fox and they haven’t been able to keep Stafford healthy.
Linebacker and Cornerbacks are bigger needs, but the Lions are NOT one or two players away from being the best team in the division so they should continue to build their trenches. Offensive linemen are good investments they can be 10-15 year starters in the league.
In my last mock I gave them Mark Ingram, a pick I still like for them.
Akeem Ayers, Brandon Harris, and Jimmy Smith are all viable possibilities.
#14 St Louis Rams-Akeem Ayers
If Julio Jones get drafted before here, which I think he will, then no other WR is worth this spot. I think if Kyle Rudolph didn’t have the injury history he would make a ton of sense here at 14 because I like Rudolph a lot. But the injuries are worrisome.
Defensive tackle also makes sense here. Fred Robbins is a good player, but he’s getting older. Spags knows the importance of a dominating defensive line, but like I said Liuget and Paea are reaches here so they don’t make a ton of sense.
The Rams linebacker corps is so bad that they even had a Giants linebacker reject start a game for them. Ayers has all the tools in the world and maybe Spags can bring out the best in him.
#15 Miami Dolphins-MIke Pouncey
MIke Pouncey seems to be gaining momentum all over the place, but I’m not sure why. I don’t think he’s as good as his brother, anyway. The Dolphins needs to improve their run game. They drafted Jon Jerry last year who started at RG, but at LG they have Richie Incognito, but he’s a free agent and has been a loose cannon. If Pouncey is as good as his brother (I don’ t think he is) the Dolphins will have a pair of franchise Guards to help rebuild their ground game.
Mark Ingram seems like the favorite choice here.
#16 Jacksonville Jaguars-DE Ryan Kerrigan
I think Ryan Kerrigan makes a lot of sense here and is a likely pick. I was trying to find a different pick, but I couldn’t come up with a great one. Maybe Brandon Harris, or a JJ Watt, or a WR here could all be had. Aldon Smith is very talented too so he makes sense, but I’m not sure what they will do.
#17 New England Patriots-J.J. Watt
Watt seems like he could really excel in New England has a 3-4 and can be a player who can play in New England has their 3-4 DE until he plays out of his contract and wants a raise (kidding). I considered aldon Smith here too because the Patriots could use a talent like him, but Watt makes sense to me and I haven’t seen him mocked here often.
#18 San Diego Chargers-Aldon Smith
The Chargers don’t have a ton of needs because they are a talented team so they should take the best player available and that might be Aldon Smith here. Smith has a ton of potential and Chargers can try to bank on one of either Larry English or Aldon Smith being a dominating pass rusher to replace the departed Shawne Merriman.
#19 New York Giants-Jimmy Smith
Smith is not my ideal pick for the New York Giants at this spot as I prefer both Mark Ingram at this spot. I just have this Feeling that the Giants will fall in love with Smith’s measurable especially if he runs a good forty. At 6-2 Smith has the kind of size the Giants could covet.
Like I said not my ideal pick, but I just wanted to throw out there a player I think they’ll be interested in.
#20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Allen Bailey DE They really exceeded expectations this year, which is good for them, but there is still some work to do to compete in a pretty competitive division.
Kerrigan can be the DE the Buccaneers need, but he’s already gone.
I think they could also look to upgrade their offensive line with Anthony Castanzo here or Gabe Carimi.
The Buccaneers coaching staff worked wonders with Lagarette Blount and might be just the right team to motivate Allen Bailey and they will love his versatility. He has all the talent in the world.
#21 Kansas City Chiefs-Jonathan Baldwin
Chris Chambers was their #2 WR. Ouch. Baltimore, who doesn’t have a great secondary embarrassed the Chiefs WR in the playoffs. They need another WR. I think a replacement for Mike Vrabel is also a strong possibility.
#22 Indinapolis Colts-Brandon Harris, CB
Obviously Colts fans want an OT and that’s the only pick I ever seen mocked to them, but it’s not a forgone conclusion that they will draft an Offensive tackle. Maybe they should, but I haven’t seen anything other then OT or DT mocked the Colts which gets a little boring.
I think the Colts could use an upgrade to their secondary.
Brandon Harris has great physical talent and can play the run (important in cover-2 schemes) and has all the ability to be a good pass defender. He also has great speed, which the Colts covet.
I’m just saying expand your horizon Colts fans there are other possible options other than OL (in all honesty what Colts fans mocked Donald Brown to them?)
#23 Philadelphia Eagles-Mark Ingram
The two positions that make the most sense for the Eagles are CB and Offensive line, which I think is more likely. But they REALLY struggle in the Red-zone and Ingram could be the answer to that. I absolutely love Ingram and think he’d be the steal of the draft if he made it this far. Ingram can catch the ball out of the backfield, and also help cure the Eagles short yardage and red-zone woes (to a point where they won’t have to run gadget plays in the Red-Zone or on third and short).
I know Carimi makes sense here and I seriously considered Martez Wilson here.
#24 New Orleans Saints-Martez Wilson
I think Wilson can be a surprise player to rise up the boards. I think he can be a good 4-3 OLB and the Saints need to improve their LB corps.Jonathan Vilma is very nice, but after him…eek. It’s bad. Danny Clark was a Giants cast off (two yeas ago) and Scott Shanle is not good.
Mikel Leshoure makes some sense here as does Corey Liuget
#25 Seattle Seahawks-Cam Newton
I don’t know if Newton really fits the mold of Pete Carroll, but his potential is ENORMOUS. And he’s such a value here at 25th overall. Newton has all the physical tools in the world and would be best served going to a team that can afford to sit him behind a veteran and learn for awhile.
Ryan Mallet, Jake Locker make sense here as well.
As does Corey Liuget.
#26 Baltimore Ravens-Torrey Smith
Boldin is good (But he’s had trouble staying healthy as tough as he plays), but Derrick Mason is old as is T.J. WhosyourMomma, and Donte Stallworth is a one trick pony. The Ravens like to draft best player available and it’s very possible Smith Baldwin can be that at 26th overall.
#27 Atlanta Falcons-Stephen Wisnniewski-C
The most logical picks here are Kyle Rudolph, Defensive help, or speedy WR. But Todd McClure will be 34 BEFORE next year starts. Atlanta is heavily reliant on their offensive line. Wisniewski can be the center of their future, or even play guard in a pinch this year if there is an injury.
#28 New England Patriots-Justin Houston
I considered the speedy Torrey Smith here, but I don’t love his game and he could be available at the top of the second round. Justin Houston is probably the best player available right now and also fills a huge need for the Pats if they don’t sign a veteran OLB (which I think they will do).
#29 Chicago Bears-Gabe Carimi
Eh.I can’t avoid OL forever just to be different. I really considered Corey Liuget here because Tommie Harris hasn’t been as good as he can be lately. Torrey Smith also makes sense because the Bears NEED a #1 WR, they don’t have one right now. But I think Carimi is too good here to pass up.
#30 New York Jets- Jerrell Jernigan, WR
the Jets really need a Rush linebacker, but who’s left at this point? The best 3-4 DE are also gone. The Jets won’t be able to keep both Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards most likely so they could be looking for another weapon for Mark Sanchez trusting their defense is good enough to get them back to the playoffs. Jernigan could boost his draft stock with a fast 40 yard dash.
If they don’t keep Ladanian Tomlison I think LeShoure could be a possibility as well.
#31 Pittsburgh Steelers-Ras-I-Dowling
An underrated player who has the size and strength the Steelers would love to add to their secondary. I think Ike Taylor is a free agent and even if he wasn’t the Steelers could still use some help at the cornerback position.
#32 Green Bay Packers-Rahim Moore- S
Ted Thompson ALWAYS drafts his best player available because he’s a smart General Manager. Maybe in this case it will be Rhaim Moore. The Packers don’t have a ton of concerns about needs because they have accumulated a wealth of talent, but Moore is the best safety in this class and one of the top players available here. Kyle Rudolph is the best player available, in my opinion, but with the rash of injuries the Packers had this year the Packers might avoid a player who has been so unlucky with injuries.
#33 New England Patriots (picks so far J.J. Watt and Justin Houston)-Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois–Gives defenses nightmares with all of this open.
#34 Buffalo Bills ( previous pick Nick Fairley)-Kyle Rudolph, TE, Norte Dame-The Bills have, perhaps, the worst TE group in the entire league.
#35 Cincinnati Bengals (previous pick Patrick Peterson) Muhammad Wilkerson-The Bengals could use an upgrade inside, even with Petro and Geno Atkins. Ideally they hope Gabe Carimi is available here.
#36 Denver Broncos (Marcel Dareus)-Adrian Clayborn, DE, Missouri–Broncos make sure they rebuild their defensive line for the off-season so they don’t get pushed around next year.
#37 Cleveland Browns-(Da’Quan Bowers), OG Rodney Hudson–Floyd Womack is no spring chicken and the Browns are committing to a more finesse kind of offense (as opposed to the hard nosed one Eric Mangini wanted). Hudson could excel on their potentially new look offensive line. They leave the first two rounds without a WR upgrade, but they shouldn’t reach one for here.
#38 Arizona Cardinals (Robert Quinn)-Jake Locker, QB, Washington–Too good value to pass up for a team that has no legitimate talent at the QB position, but plenty of talent at the skill positions.
#39 Tennessee Titans (Prince Amukamara)-Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois Liguet’s stock seems to be pointing up, but I don’t think he’s a great first round option. But here in the second round the Titans get good value.
#40 Dallas Cowboys (Cameron Jordan)-Anthony Castanzo, OT, Boston College-The Cowboys didn’t upgrade their secondary in this mock draft, but that’s OK. They have big pockets and will probably end up with Asmougha anyway. Here in this mock they rebuild their trenches.
#41 Washingon Redskins (Blaine Gabbert)-Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State-The Redskins need to improve their defense. Heyward (#10 on Mocking Dan’s big board) is good value here. They choose him over Stepehan Paea who suffered a knee injury at the senior bowl.
#42 Houston Texans (Julio Jones)-Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State
I think he can play in the 3-4 along the defensive line. Maybe he’s better suited to play the 4-3 but maybe he can be Wade Phillips Jay Ratliff in Houston.
#43 Minnesota Vikings (Derrick Sherrod)-Greg jones, LB, Michigan State. Chad Greenway is a free agent, and Ben Leber is not that good. Jones can come in and immediately be their weak side linebacker. Ryan Mallett the last of the big 4 QB is still available and a possibility.
#44 Detroit Lions (Nate Solder)-Aaron Williams CB, Texas With the Vikings taking Greg Jones taking a Linebacker here can be a reach. They instead choose to upgrade their secondary.
#45 San Francisco 49ers (Von Miller) Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas The 49ers don’t have a franchise pass rusher, or a franchise Quarterback. With this mock they may get both. Sure they don’t get a cornerback for their defense, but they can try to address that in free agency or in subsequent rounds.
#46 Denver Broncos (Dareus, Adrian Clayborn)- Quinton Carter FS Oklahoma. I think the Broncos have enough pieces on offense with good WR and a talented RB. In this draft they address their Defensive line and also add some talent to their secondary to eventually take over for the aging Brian Dawkins.
#47 St. Louis Rams (Akeem Ayers)-DT, Drake Nevis, LSU–I know Bradford needs more weapons, but they have a solid OL and a solid running game and they play in a terrible division and they have the only franchise Quarterback so they should be OK with their offense. The Rams will build up their defense and then after this year start to supplement their quality defense with the final offensive pieces
#48 Oakland Raiders-Tyron Smith, OT, USC
I know nothing about the Raiders new coach, but I do know that Robert Gallery is a free agent and their OL was a big part of their success this year. Smith has the biggest potential of any OL in the draft. I know they drafted Campbell and Veldheer last year, but Smith is the kind of player AL Davis looks for (very athletic) and is the best player available at this moment in time. Suggestions welcome.
#49 Jacksonville Jaguars (Ryan Kerrigan)-CB, Brandon Burton, Utah The Jaguars get pretty good value here with Burton.
#50 San Diego Chargers (Aldon Smith)-Titus Young WR, Boise State
When you’re as talented as the Chargers are and play in a division that is as bad as the A.F.C. West is you can just draft good players. Titus Young is underrated and will be a steal for some team on draft day.
#51 Tampa Bay Buccaneers-(Allen Bailey)-Bruce Carter. I don’t have a great feel for the Buccaneers. But I know Barrett Rudd is a free agent and their Linebacker corps is not great. Carter is a legitimate first round talent who got unlucky and got hurt. Oh and initially I slated Ryan Kerrigan for the Buccaneers in the first round before I realized I already gave him to the Jaguars and then I had to insert in Allen Bailey
#52 New York Giants (Jimmy Smith)-Marvin Austin, DT North Carolina. The Giants signed Plaxico Burress even though he wasn’t beloved in Pittsburgh. The Giants also were interested in Haynesworth even though he was known as a guy who didn’t always give it his all. They signed Michael Boley (domestic battery) and have drafted or signed other players with indiscretions trusting that they’ll change their ways in NY. Austin is a physically talented monster and might be too tempting for the G-men in the second round if available.
#53 Indianapolis Colts-(Brandon Harris)-Kris O’Dowd, C, USC. O’dowd did not have a great senior bowl, but he’s still a second round talent and would fit in well with the Colts. O’Dowd has a lot of experience at USC and the Colts need an eventual replacement for Jeff Saturday.
#54 Philadelphia Eagles-(Mark Ingram)-Mason Foster, LB, Washington The Eagles traditionally spend their early picks on linemen, which is a possibility. However, in this mock they go the route of best player available in both rounds and bolster their linebacker corps and their running back ground.
#55 Kansas City Chiefs-(Jonathan Baldwin)-Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor The Chiefs could use an upgrade at Nose Tackle. They still need a pass rushing OLB, but at this point though a linebacker could be a reach.
#56New Orleans Saints-(Martez Wilson)-DeAndre McDanield, S Clemson. It’s inconceivable how the Seahawks could put so many points on the Saints in the playoffs. The safeties of the Saints were exposed too much this year and they need to upgrade along the defense. Ryan Williams the best player available here is also worth consideration.
#57 Seattle Seahawks-(Cam Newton)-Johnny Patrick CB, Louisville. Last year the Seahawks got an absolute steal with Russel Okung and Earl Thomas in the first round. This year they get one of the more underrated players in the draft. Patrick is a very nice player and can continue to add to the Seahawks defense. A Run stuffing DE or a RT are two positions that still need to be addressed during the off-season for the Seahawks (though if Red Bryant comes back fully healthy Run stuffing DT is less of a need)
#58 Baltimore Ravens-(Torrey Smith)-Quan Sturdivant–Ray Lewis can not play forever. Sturdivant could be the eventual replacement for Lewis in another year or two and he might be able to play next year next to Lewis or provide excellent depth as he learns behind Lewis.
#59 Atlanta Falcons-(Stephen Wisniewski)-Ryan Williams, RB, VA Tech. Some people are down on Williams, but I love Williams’ skill set. Michael Turner needs someone to take the load off once in awhile before his body breaks down from all of the carries he gets. Williams is also a good receiver out of the backfield.
#60 New England-(JJ Watt, Justin Houston, Mikel Leshoure) Danny Watkins-OG/OT Baylor Watkins is a border line first round draft pick, But he’s already 26 years old (born in November of 1984) which could drop his stock. However, for the Patriots who might be looking to replace Logan Mankins, Watkins is just good value.
#61 San Diego-(Aldon Smith, Titus Young)-Luke Stocker, TE, Tennessee–The Chargers don’t need a tight end because Antonio Gates is great, but he was hurt a lot last year and their TE depth isn’t great. Stocker is a good value here because he can catch the ball and block as well. During the Senior bowl he reminded a lot of people of former Vols TE Jason Witten. To me, Kyle Rudolph reminds me more of Jason Witten then Stocker does, but I like Stocker as the second best TE in this class.
#62 Chicago Bears-(Gabe Carimi)-Mark Herzlich, LB, Boston College. As bad as writing this makes me feel: the only reason Herzlich is available at this point is because he had bone cancer. Herzlich is a first round talent who is intense, and fiery. The Bears don’t have anything next to Urlacher and Briggs to write home about, but a linebacker corps of Briggs, Urlacher, and Herzlich might be enough to overcome the potent offense of the Packers..
#63 Pittsburgh Steelers-(Ras-I-Dowling)- Joseph Barksdale OT LSU. A player I personally think is a bit underrated, but even so at the end of round two he’s good value. I’m not convinced that the OL is as bad as people think it is because Big Ben holds onto the ball a long time, which leads to a lot of sacks…and a lot of big plays. Still, Barksdale is good value here and you can never have enough depth and talent on the Offensive line because injuries can on the offensive lines can derail a team.
64 Green Bay Packers-(Rahim Moore, S)-Demarco Murray, Oklahoma. Adding a talent like Demarco Murray to augment the Packers offense and give them a legitimate return man should be illegal for the league. Murray is a Great receiver out of the backfield and could make the Packers offense virtually unstoppable
