Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs had a very good year, but they still need to improve in a lot of areas. The Offensive Line is still a concern as they are aging and some parts are just not very good. An upgrade on the interior of the line would be my first choice. Rodney Hudson or Mike Pouncey would be a nice addition here. A playmaker opposite Bowe would be a nice addition. Jon Baldwin would work. Defensively the Chiefs need a stout NT like Baylor’s Phil Taylor in the later rounds and an OLB to pair with Tamba Hali.
The Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders were a pretty decent team this year. They still need help in a few areas though. The loss of Asomugha is huge, he must be replaced. Offensive Line needs an upgrade across the board. Stefan Wisniewski would be a good pick for Oakland. I know they picked DHB a couple years ago and Jacoby Ford emerged as a good option, but WR is another position that needs to be looked at. Tandon Doss could be a good pick later in the draft.
San Diego Chargers
San Diego is a the most talented team in this division. They need a minor upgrade at a few positions and should find themselves back on top in 2011. DE opposite Castillo this year is a position I could see them filling with a Cameron Heyward or Adrian Clayborn in the first round. Other positions that could use some fresh faces are OT, ILB and the secondary. OT Joseph Barksdale or S DeAndre McDaniel could find themselves in Chargers uniforms next season.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos have started over. They moved from offensive minded Josh McDaniels, to the defensive minded John Fox. Defense will be a big part of the Broncos draft. depending on what scheme Fox decides to run depends on how the Broncos will draft. As of now they need a NT and improved DE play. The return of a healthy Elvis Dumervil will instantly help this team. A replacement for Champ Bailey will be needed soon, Patrick Peterson would be a very smart choice in my opinion. If they move back to the 4-3, then Da’Quan Bowers makes the most sense at pick 2. Stay tuned!
